Wool pads for boat waxing

I used wool pads last year with a Makita rotary on the boat and did a good job except they just caked big times. Are the wool pads the best for boat and gel coat application of wax?

know they are for cutting only . use a mf to take off the wax . or seal is best .then topper wax.

Wool pads are for removing defects in the gel coat. A foam finishing pad is perfect for applying wax.

Foam are great for wax if you only do a boat or two. We prefer a blend pad for finishing
