Hi guys,
I've done my first simple detailing today with my brother. His 2006 Mazda 3 has seen a lot of dirt (with his 2 dogs in the 5 years), dirty roads (rocky roads), a family car. :xyxthumbs:
The car was washed when he could and he waxed it about twice or 3 times a year. We live in Montreal, Canada so winter is harsh on the paint for at least 5 months, salt on roads, slush, not easy. :awman:
Today, I went to his place (with my beginner inventory) and without any electrical machines (buffer, DA, rotary) we did our best to bring back the car to life again. :xyxthumbs:
Washing: Meguiars Wash and Wax
Drying: California Blade, drying clothes
Claying: Meguiars Smooth Surface
Cleaning: Mothers Pre Wax Cleaner
Waxing: Meguiars Ultimate Wax
QD: Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer
The car was dull at first, almost no reflections. Even after claying, the paint was not shiny, still some contaminants.
The Pre Wax Cleaner did a freaking great job. The wax also helped.
Some swirls are still left but we are happy with the job. Some pictures taken with a non SLR Camera.
