Mother's Back to Black Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner

I read a few user reviews on Autogeek's store site for this product. I was looking for something that would clean 3 year old trim on my wife's Explorer. It had become faded, dirty, and hard to clean. This stuff is amazing. See the before and after shots below. I purposely didn't use it on the front fascia and instead just used my normal "cover up" of CarPro PERL. I did this because I want to test durability and see if there is any difference in how long the trim stays black compared to my normal dressing. In other words, I want to find out if it really cleaned anything or just acted a cover as many of the dressings and sealants do.

The initial results, at least, are fantastic. I will circle back in a few weeks to let everyone know how the trim looks.

I am interested to see how the durability is. I used the regular Mothers back to black on my truck and it looked like new at first, but now it is chalky and looks worse than it did before using it. It has been a few months since I used it, but I'm still a little disappointed.

I'm doing a trim dressing test now between Meguiars Ultimate Black, Mothers Back to Black and Ultima Tire and Trim Guard and the Mothers is winning out.

I'm at the 2 week mark now and I'm liking the shine better. No chalkiness at all.

I used the Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner first and it did make it look darker and cleaner, but the Restorer really brought out the shine and made it look great.

Yes, that's the one I used. Since I last posted I saw another truck that I used it on and it was holding up well on it. My truck is a few years older than this one and the trim was a little more "weathered" on mine, so I think I might have needed to use the heavy duty cleaner first like you did.

I like what it did on the bumper on wife's Lexus. It looks nice but I plan to top it with solution finish for longer lasting finish.

I have the Black on Black and Chemical Guys VRP and prefer the VRP way over the Mothers. The VRP works awesome on door panels, dash, and tires as well as trim. Its a homerun for me! In fact, Im ordering up a gallon tonight.
