Been "kinda" irrelevant for a while now, only to market towards .0001% of the population with this

It sure has people talking but talk doesn't put a pen in your hand! For a company with one foot in the grave already noone gets this, I know I don't

After watching this, Pan's Best of 2024 video doesn't look too bad

Thoughts.....

Maybe Pan will get this new jaguar

In the 80's the Fonz "jumped the shark", weeks ago Pan released "Best of 2024" and then Jaguar said..."hold my beer, let me show how it's done!"

I think the backlash from Jaguar releasing this add campaign has brought me more laughter than anything else automotive related in a long time. The roasting has been swift, brutal, and really funny. Even non-car related outlets have joined in on the beatings. I'm curious to see which dies faster, this add campaign, or Jag themselves.

If this was from a German brand like BMW, I would have almost expected it. Germans as a whole occasionally produce some really strange stuff and BMW in particular with their "styling" have dipped their toes in the world of the bizarre in the past. The Brits? Nope, and especially Jag.

Sadly, Jag has been circling the drain for a while. The F-Type was a work of art and decent to drive by all accounts. Everything else was left to die on the vine and wasn't competitive against the other European brands and maybe not even against some Japanese brands like Lexus or Acura. What really blows my mind is they aren't going the be selling any new product for the next two years! They are simply going to continue to sell existing backlogged inventory and hope for the best. Not sure that will end well as their dealership network will likely abandon them before any new vehicles show up.

Not sure that's their target audience..

I have watched a few of the backlash videos and they included parts of recent speeches by the CEO and others in the JLR hierarchy at or about various events that celebrate the aforementioned/alluded to target audience

I am not sure how any sane company could expect to survive by so drastically narrowing down their target audience but JLR certainly seemed to do just that by alienating soooo many others

To each their own, just don't rub my nose in it and tell me I am wrong for not going along with it or believing the narrative

EDITED TO ADD: That was in no way, shape, or form directed at @MisterSnoop
