Year end break!

Enjoy your time off, I hope the weather cooperates. At one of the places I worked they didn't close for Christmas, there was 3 of us in the warehouse, so every third Christmas I had to work right through, the next year I'd get first pick on holiday dates, and next I'd get second pick. It was all good until you get a new guy started who didn't want to wait his turn Christmas holidays.

Where i worked they were operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. If a holiday happened to fall on your scheduled day then you were there but those holidays paid double time and 1/2 so i usually didnt mind working the holiday. As a bonus all the management always had the holiday off so no adult supervision.

Due to the 24th and 26th being declared one-time federal holidays, I get a short work week this week without taking any vacation days. I'm using up my last bit of use-or-lose PTO and will take off all but one day next week.

The nice part is the warm front we're seeing means I may get a chance to detail a family member's car on Christmas day. The time outdoors in the sun will be nice.
