Hey guys and gals,

I am trying to create a logo and business card. I am using Adobe Illustrator CS6 - which by the way I am NO expert at.

What I am going for is clean, simple and to the point.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. The car outline will be a vector graphic and much smoother if I decide to go with this concept.

Thank you!

I had these concepts drawn up by a logo creation outfit... Just not sure I am crazy about them. The blue background is just a snippet of the header from my website he used.

Even if there was a patent it would cost an extremely large amount of money to sue you. If there was a patent it would have to be registered where you specifically are. I wouldn't worry about that. Even the slightest changes make it unique and not subject to a patent law.

Nice straight forward design, good job!

How many detailers are using the cars silhouette as their logo.

Most, but not in the same market hopefully!

Also if you question it, you question many on this forum.

Still, I agree it's bcoming dangerously ubiquitous.

I like it. It follows your goal of a clean un cluttered design. I would offer some feedback to look at the text boxes on logo. There seems to be a "cut" in the black silhouette line that may be the text box overlapping. Lastly check the text below "obsessive" to be sure it aligned the same as your web site or vise-versa. The card looks to be left justified where the web site has it more toward the center.

Overall, I do like your approach. I personally like clean designs. Often less is more and conveys that "attention to detail" you want you market to recognize.

The silhouette is not a vector image (yet)... If I decide to go with this design it will be and the "notch" will be no longer. As far as alignment of the name of my business... I was just trying something different. It will be consistent across my entire business image as soon as I settle on something. I really appreciate the feedback!
