I have a newer F-150 so I frequent a forum for that truck. A guy I know just got an F-150 and posted some pictures of it beading water after he waxed it. I read through the posts and I can't believe what some folks think and say about Bill waxing his truck. Even a so-called detailer gave his two cents and I'm just biting my tongue. I don't get in confrontations over the net so I just sit back and watch.

Hmm...well they do have a point. 4 coats of wax isn't going to be a thousand miles away from a single coat. I personally only do two coats to make sure i was able to get every single area protected.

And the guy that said a beading wax doesn't necessarily mean dictate the amount of protection. It just tells you there is something between the paint and the water.

I am member of that forum too. I take what some of those guys say with a grain of salt. Especially after the "Truck balls are cool" thread.
