ok somehow I posted another show N shine when I was trying to get the right size picture figured out for this. Sorry everyone this is the right one.

This was not a walk in the park by any means. But this was a pleasure to work on in the sense that the quality of the surfaces of the vehicle were top notch. The customer wanted the inside detailed and just a wash and wax on the exterior.

The Yukon was washed and clayed. This is how bad the clay was on just a front sections of the hood. The car was only this bad on the front. I then waxed the Yukon and moved on to the inside.

The inside posed quite a challenge. Everything was cleaned using shop vac, various interior cleaners, brushes, steam, short knap and plush knap micro fiber towels and carpet extractor. The leather was treated with a conditioner and all plastics a vinyl trim treated with protectant.

Getting to work after using various brushes and vacuuming the entire car with different attachments. Also removing panels to expose what can be hidden out of sight.

Here you can see some of the progress on the tracking and guarding. I have found some cleaners to take away the shine and new look to these parts of a car if you are not careful.

Thank you all for looking. Questions comments welcome.

Great job! What products did you use? The seats got that brand new look to them without the over done look.

Thanks Dark Shadow. It was a combination of meguiars super degreaser zep 505 and zep carpet extractor shampoo. The leather was steamed and treated with mother leather tech. Everything else got meguiars ultimate protectant

:applause:
Looks great! Love seeing interior turnarounds like this. I don't know how people let their rigs get this bad but I love turning them around like this! Thanks for sharing

That was a lot of turf to cover

Nice work

Any advice specific to the perforated leather?

Great job! I really love seeing turnarounds on vehicle interiors, and this one was in rough shape.

WOW! You did an amazing job on that Tahoe, great work my friend:)

Timely post, as I have GMC Yukon XL to do next weekend. Just for reference, how long did the interior take? I'm going to be cleaning up after about 5 years of small children, so I expect most of my time to be spent there!

I'm cleaning it up for them to sell, so the interior has to be perfect. You know how mom's are about their kid carriers.

Great job!:xyxthumbs:

Thank you all so much. I did not realize this had got a few more responses. Allenk4 and doodle and natewood70
Perforated leather. Ok. As long as you don't use a conditioner that plugs the holes it normally is fine to clean and apply condition like leather without perforations. There was a meguiars gold class leather conditioner I used many years ago on my trans am seats that dis that to me. But now I normally use steam.
Scicoupe. Thanks !
Minisguy- This job took me about 14 hrs on the inside. I used steam from my mc1275 steamer. My bissell carpet cleaner with zep carpet shampoo and zep 505 on everything. The stains were pre treated with the zep 505. It was the first time I used those two products by zep or any zep products for that matter. Normally I'd use meguiars super degreaser but this worked a bit better. The interior was treated with meguiars ultimate interior protectant. This particular vehicle was dirty from pets and use from working on farm locations which may be different from becoming soiled by small children. But you find that as I said the materials in this car are surprisingly very nice to work with. If you have any questions feel free to pm me. I hope you post some of the work here on autogeek!
