My new F-150 came with this "Zaktek Paint Sealant/Coating". My guess is it is nothing more than a marketing gimmick. My dad is freaking out claiming he doesn't want me to damage the paint on my truck with my new Griots (using Pinnacle Paint Cleanser followed by Collinite 845). Little does he know I have done my research (A LOT OF IT - including reading Mike's book).

So...is it safe to apply anything on top of this magical Zaktek coating?

IMO. I think a nice wash, clay and ipa wipe would remove this so called Zaktek Paint Sealant. You will be fine but I would recommend using a durable protection like a beginner coating Gtechniq C2v3.

Zaktek is prolly Turtle Wax installed by Zack - whomever he is. I would wash the car, Iron X it, clay it - then check the beading and gloss. If it looks and beads stellar... Don't mess with it. Somehow, I think water will lay flat on the hood.

You prolly need some SwanicYouthTech sealant for your car. PM me. I'm the sole worldwide distributor.

Did you read the Warranty? To maintain the warrant, re-application by the selling dealer is required every 6 months. There are so many exclusions to the warranty that it seems to be totally worthless.

No my dad was smart enough to NOT pay for it. I already have plans to wash, iron - x, clay it,and wax this upcoming week
