I've been reading several threads around about this product and wondered if anyone has tried it. My use for this $164 wax would be show cars that are looking for that last umph of shine and don't mind paying the tariff.

I've used it. It's a nice wax but doesn't really have anything over Souveran. In fact I didn't like it as well. I gave my jar to some friends to try out. They never gave it back. You might think that's because it's a great product but I know that 2 of them used it and I never heard a positive comment about it.

Okay call me a retard but isn't the Zymol concourse like a ton more money than Souveran?? (don't really call me a retard or I'll have Meghan ban you!!:p )

I'd never call you a 'tard LOL...maybe a little slow outta the chute..j/k

Yea, the Concours is $164. But after the comment from GearHead_1, I might just stick with my trusty Souve' paste.

You're prolly right...but you know how it is: "There's this carnuba that is so glossy ... Comsat has to run a filter or it blinds the bird"...that type. LOL

Maybe it's cause I've been traveling since last Sunday that I was having a weak moment!

See Ya's

I'd put Max Wax up against any out there.
Guarantee that 8 outta 10 couldn't tell the diff on a well polished and prepped vehicle!

Wasnt there "rumors" at one time that Max Wax was Paste Glaz?

I have no idea.
All I know is no wax can beat a well prepped car. I could take 5.00 Turtle Wax to a well prepped ride and make it look like a 200.00 Wax.

BTW....ain't no wax worth 200.00!

I'm one of the other 2.

So you can tell the difference?

I can't. And I work with about 20 different types of waxes.
Now I can tell you which will look better on red or yellow and which will my white pop. I just don't know if I could tell the difference between 20.00 and 100.00 wax.
In my book, 20.00 is alot!

LOL!

Yes er re Bob! Hands down. I think you'll find others on AG that will tell you the same thing.

Actually I'll bet you could. You've obviously played with a few waxes, I think your eye probably could see the difference given the opportunity to compare them side by side. I know I've spent a lot of days waxing or sealing a vehicle. No holds barred, clayed, polished and finished. When I'm done I think it couldn't look much better than that. Then I use a different product and go through the same procedure and say the same thing. It's when you put them side by side that you see the difference. That said if I can actually see the difference why wouldn't I want to use the one that really looks better all the time? I'm not suggesting that someone who is doing this for a living spend big bucks on their products. There has to be a point of diminishing returns when it comes to looks verses value. When it comes to your own car or one that is absolutely your best work there is a difference.

I have a jar of Concours and I think it's a great wax. I've been using it for years. I've also used Souveran, DP Max Wax, P21S and many many others. IMO the Concours gives a wetter, deeper shine with more clear reflections but it also costs more and very few people are able to see the difference between any waxes. I love Autogeek products and own many of them but I have to say Zymol waxes are some of my favorite LSPs.

Usually around x-mas Concours goes on sale for $99 if you can wait.

In my opinion I will tell you if you can afford it - it's worth a try. Results will probably same as Souveran paste, while wax cost twice as much.
Anyway, if you are going to get it - tell us what you think about it.

A guy in Florida sent me a chunk of Zymol Vintage ($1500 per jar) a few years back. I've compared it to several waxes and my opinion is that it wouldn't be worth paying any amount of money for it when there are waxes like Souveran, Signature, or even S100 out there. It is over marketed and over hyped. Just my own opinion after my own experiences with it.

Phew!! Is it hot in here or is it just me?? I can see the smoke from all of the furious typing going on in this thread! lol I agree with Gearhead. I just did a hood test on my car with Natty's Blue, Max Wax, Signature Series II and Souveran. And even though all of them are excellent, I could definitely see the difference in the part that had the Souveran. The reflections were crisper and more detailed. It had more depth. I love my Natty's and my Max Wax and my Signature Series II. They all rock, but the Souveran really is in a class of it's own IMHO.
