Does anyone know if you can use the Zymol HD Cleanse with the Meguiar Dual Action Orbital? I know there's other products, but I have a couple of bottles I'd use first. Does the HD Cleanse get out water marks, swirls, etc.?

thank you very much,

I thought that product was similar to Pinnacles Paintwork lotion and thus more of a chemical based cleanser. If so you can use a buffer to apply and remove but might want some dedicated polishes for swirl removal.

I've got a 2008 XKR. Is there anything I shouldn't use on new car paint. Things I should absolutely stay away from. I typically manually polish/wax my cars. I just bought the Meguiar DA as I mentioned. I'm concerned about getting too aggressive with my cleaning, etc. I've enter the JCNA Concourse in San Diego next weekend and want the car perfect without any water spots, etc. Just want to make sure I don't screw up the factory paint job.

Appreciate any advice.

How about you tell us your plans for detailing, process and products and we can tell you if you are ok.

Wash car, then use the Meg Ultra finishing polish (will this take care of swirls and water marks) with DA vs. the Zymol HD Cleanse. Next I would probably either use the Glacier polish with the DA, or would you recommend going straight to a wax, i.e., Zymol Carbon.

What would you suggest?

unless it has been reformulated, HD Cleanse can be a bear to remove. when i hv used it, i found it best to remove very quickly. i would test a small area before committing to this cleanser. i found it best to apply by hand.
