Hello, I have been trying to use some zymol spray glaze as a quick detailer, this is going over about five coats of meguiars gold class paste carnauba wax. My problem is the spray glaze seems to leave streak marks. Any ideas ? Thanks Feed back please

It has to be rubbed out real good & even. I use it on the tank of my Harley all the time.

spray the mf and not the paint?

Haven't used that product but that technique has worked for me for other products when they start streaking on me

I couldn't help but notice this. From what I've read about "topping", after about two coats you aren't adding any more protection. Every glaze has different properties. Some are meant only for pre LSP use and some can be used as an LSP. I would make sure you are following the manufacturer's recommendations/instructions.

Thanks for all the advice, it is very helpful. I had been reading that you could layer several coats of wax for a deeper shine, giving the paint more depth, or at least that is what I was trying for. After several coats of wax, I was going to use the zymol to keep the dust off and as a maintenace spray until time to polish and wax again in a couple of months. I picked up some meguiars ultimate quik detail today and it seems to work better, and not leave streaks. I will try the other methods offered up here for the zymol too. Thanks. :props:

The OTC Spray Glaze is a quick wax and is tough to work with, which is very notorious about Turtle Wax from what I've heard. I was curious and used it but had to buff my paint 3 times to remove the streaking. One thing is certain, it does fill minor swirls! They offer a QD if that's what you're wanting. I'll admit that the soap smells fantastic!

I havent used the zymol car wash yet, is it pretty good stuff ? I have used the meguiars, and the mothers so far. I picked up the meguiars uqd and it is great. I have been using the zymol spray glaze for the windshields as it seems to be pretty good for that.

Tried this on my black dodge charger police car tonight, and it worked great, just wasnt using enough elbow grease I guess. The meg uqd is quite a bit easier to use, but I will use up this bottle of spray glaze on the police car so it wont go to waste. I would have thought zymol would make a quik detail spray, but maybe it just isnt carried around here, for that matter the only zymol wax I can find is cleaner/wax. I have a feeling the stuff I have in my cart to order friday will be much better than anything I can find off the shelf around here anyway. Oh well, you live and learn.

zymol cleaner wax is all thats on the shelf around here too. cleaner wax...a contridiction in terms ... the lazy way out. I have seen Zymol quick detailer at Auto Zone or Advance auto.
My Cobra, Ranger and Harley are all black & the Zymol glaze works good on all three. I even have a separate bottle mixed with Klasse SG. I have noticed one thing though, It seems differant spray detailers & spray waxes tend to act differantly depending on what I have on
my paint. (carnuba, polymers ect) and what brand. I use alot of differant spray detailers & spray waxes. I think Mother's showtime is the best all-around spray detailer. It seems to glide on and wipe off easy no matter what I have layed down on my paint.

nice list of categorized products....
guess I'll stick with the "old school" approach. the condensed version would be.......
claying
cleaner
polish
straight synthetic polymer or
pure carnuba
maybe a glaze
a good topper
the only AIO product I have ever used (and still do) is the old reliable Klasse AIO
(but only on certain things.... roof of my truck, tailgate ect.
I suppose differant products serve differant purposes for differant people and differant goals
I just think cleaner waxes are for lawn mowers & mail boxes....
when I clean my paint, I do it in one single step with a cleaner and when I'm ready for the
protection, shine, gloss ect. I do that with one step & one product, not combined.
I also like to layer, which cannot be done with a cleaner wax.
Everyone doesn't have the time or desire for a step by step procedure. those people are probably not on this forum and probably are not big AG shoppers. If you have a decent ride that you want to keep looking as nice as possible, and don't have the time, money or desire....then a good wash, a cleaner wax and a couple of hours is the way to go.
just my thoughts.......
if I didn't own a vehicle.... I would probably go out and buy a hood or a quarter pannel somewhere just to work on
