Opinions On Chemical Guys?

I like their soap, glaze(blacklight), and tire dressing isn't bad either.

What have you tried that you didn't like?

Anything you do/did like?

The wash soaps were good. The polish/compounds were lacking (IMHO). The spray sealant didn't last. The MF's came apart after a few washes.

Each person will have a different opinion. That is the great thing about AG, they sell a ton of different product lines. Some folks hate stuff I like and vise-versa.

I have a bottle of VPR that works well on tires and other bits. Not sure I will replace it when the time comes, but it works well.

Few things I don't like from them that I've bought: P-40 Finishing Polish, Butter Wet Wax (just didn't impress me)

Thing(s) I'm on the fence about: New Car Shine Premium Dressing, Snow Foam Honey Dew (streaking)

Things I do like: Glassworkz, Luber, M-Sealer, Mr. Pink, Citrus Wash & Gloss

Like every company, some things work well, some not so much. Everyone has different tastes. I just think there is better out there for the money. Can't believe I've tried so much of their stuff actually lol.

Their a real polarising company for me - some of the best and worst stuff I've used. Citrus Wash n Glass is hands down my favorite soap. Hybrid V7 is a great detailer with spray sealant in it. Diablo Wheel cleaner is good but I feel their equally good cleaners for less money out their. M-Seal I feel is one of the most overlooked crème sealants. I applied it one year on my paint and window and it lasted most of the winter. EcoSmart is good for spot cleaning, I also like it use it for door jambs.

Never had any luck with their dressings, glass cleaners, or paste waxes.

I quite like their V7 & Extreme Slick Synthetic Detailer.

CW&G is nice, too. Also uses it as a presoak for microfibers.

Inner Clean is not bad, and Sprayable Leather has that new car smell I really like. Can be on the oily & slippery side, so a little goes a long way.

I like thier soap and their Ecosmart is real deal. I can waterless wash the whole car that pretty dirty without create any swirl or scratch, that is surprise to whoever I showing them how to as well. By the way, you will need a really good and thick MF for this.

Overall good products in my opinion. Some are better than others but I've never been disappointed.

Oops, can't forget about their best interior scent. Stripper Scent (cinnamon lol) :xyxthumbs:

Check out their video regarding fabric guard. They use a couple of sprays and the next day it repels water like crazy. In reality you have to use a ton of the product to get the same results as in the video. I gave them a call and the associate admitted that you have to use a lot more than shown in the video. After that I had no faith in their products.

Damn. I already thought they used a lot in their videos.

Luckily I don't need much water replant for my floors. My seats could use it though.

Looks like somebody fell in a paint bucket then drove home

I like some of their products. Blacklight and V7 are awesome products, especially on metallic paints. Car wash soaps have been top notch also. I love Honeydew in the foam cannon! Inner clean is pretty good, as is fabric clean.

Their air fresheners are creative and work well.

Bad: Jet Seal (no longevity), tire gel(took a ton of product to get result) , waterless carwashes and rinse less carwashes (ECO TOUCH smokes them IMHO)

The biggest problem I have is too many products that seem to do the same thing, or advertise similar purposes.

What I like and will buy again... Pete's 53, 50/50, Barebones, Citrus Wash & Gloss (use it in my pad washer as well), Stripper scent & VRP shine.

What I like but have replaced with other products due to cost... Innerclean, Microfiber wash, Honeydew and Maxi suds, Luber & Diablo wheel cleaner.

What I don't like... Sticky Gel wheel cleaner & Glassworkz.

I don't wanna call anyone out, and it hasn't been like crazy trash talking, just some small things like making fun of their videos.

Was it me?

Their car wash soaps are very good, and cheap. Jet Seal is good too.

Air fresheners not so much, and their polishes are not strong enough and there are way too many of them. Too many "redesigned" products and their old versions still available makes it difficult to find the right one.

When I was first starting out in detailing a few years ago the hype/videos from Chemical Guys lured me in. I liked the shirts they sold too  I started buying their products (only about 6-7), before I found Autogeek. :) Today the only product I use of theirs is the New Car Scent air freshener. My customers love the smell and it last as long as most other air fresheners (not long enough).
