Okay, so before I made the trip to Florida in January 2015 to attend Mikes Boot Camp/Competition Ready class, I was always hesitant about the purchase of these accessories & could never bring myself to take them all the way to the checkout when making an order. What if they were rubbish, & didn't work? It's a long way to ship from Autogeek all the way to New Zealand! Over 8000 miles to be correct, & well - shipping costs aren't pocket friendly either but for the fast delivery & first class customer service, I tend to over look the cost a bit, then cope with the import taxes & boarder duties etc.

Like a few things I was looking forward to trying/working with in Mikes class, the Cyclo Polisher Brushes were definitely one. Whilst I was impressed using them for multiple uses over the course of the Boot Camp/Competition Ready class, from scrubbing tyres to seats & carpet & even trim, I still wondered how they would handle life here in New Zealand in a high use shop environment.

The very next order I placed after getting home to New Zealand, I ordered 1 x Aqua, 1 x White & 1 x Grey, bearing in mind that they are designed for use with the Cyclo Polisher - there are two brushes per pack.

Now almost two years later I have finally retired Aqua brush number 1. This brush has done some serious work, & I really do mean SERIOUS work in those two years. These brushes are Tough with a capital T! This brush was confined to use on interiors only (yes, we have some dirty vehicles down here) fabric seats & upholstery & also carpets. The other Aqua brush is still going strong that is designated for tyre scrubbing, the White brush I use for hard vinyl floors etc, & the Grey brushes I use on more delicate interior surfaces, such as trim & leather.

Not only are they tough, they work, & they work well. Better than scrubbing by hand by leaps & bounds - just like machine polishing my hand or machine, machine wins every time. I get phenomenal results using these brushes, & as you have probably figured out - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Here are a couple of pictures to show just how tough these Cyclo brushes are! Check out the bruises the old one has! Remember - TWO years of HARD work!!!

Not bad for two years work huh? Actually, I say these are the toughest tools I have in the shop! Worth every cent & then some. As Mike Phillips says - "Quality doesn't cost money . . . it makes money"

Thank you all for reading.

Thanks for the review.

I've been meaning to get one of these now that I have a PC style machine.

I have dedicated my old PC to interiors with these brushes. Really do a nice job.

Thanks mate. :xyxthumbs:

They really are fantastic, I just run mine on a couple of cheap DA polishers just in case I splash a bit too much solution in there.

Anyone on the fence about an upholstery attachment dont hesitate to pull the trigger. Nice durability review

Is the white brush good enough to use for scrubbing tires?

Wow! You really get your money's worth out of your tools!

I'm trying to remember who I obtained that phrase from? I think it was from back when I worked at Hewlett-Packard? It will come to me...

Thanks for sharing Aaryn...

In my opinion, the Aqua brush is better for scrubbing tyres, the White brushes are just a little stiff for that use I think.

Are the white bristles like the Tuff Shine Tire Brush? Or stiffer?

Wow! You really did get your money's worth! Nice review on one tough brush!

When doing carpets, do you spray with cleaner, scrub with brushes, then use a wet vac for product removal? I've not seen much on the forum about carpet cleaning. Just curious. Thanks.

Thanks Mike. :xyxthumbs:

Although the brush is very worn, it still works well, it has been reassigned as a tonneau cover scrubber. Totally believe in the saying - "Quality doesn't cost money . . . it makes money" :dblthumb2:

Definitely, I'm sure they are around $40 for a pair - this one is two years old & still going strong. $20 each brush? Geeze, i'd call them an absolute bargain.

Sorry mate, I couldn't tell you. I haven't got a Tuff Shine Tyre Brush - we are fairly limited to detailing supplies this end of the planet. I'm sure someone here can answer that question though.

The White Cyclo Brush bristles seem to distort a bit (not majorly) whereas the Aqua Brush hasn't appeared to but I would imagine the White Brush would scrub tyres just fine, I just chose to use the Aqua Brush. :xyxthumbs:

Thanks for the reply. Where are you from? Australia? There's a dude on another forum asking if anyone's willing to help him out and ship him some product he's always wanted to try but can't because it's unavailable out there... I'm thinking about helping him out.

By the way, what exactly do you mean by the white bristles seem to distort? Do you mean they bend and stay bent? Or?

Yes, I spray the surface with a carpet & upholstery cleaner, scrub with machine mounted Cyclo Brush & then extract with an extractor - or if not heavily soiled - lightly spray, scrub & towel dry. I would go out on a limb & say, I get results at least 40% better than I ever have doing them solely by hand, they're that good!

New Zealand, a bit further South than Australia & a whole lot smaller. :xyxthumbs:

I just order straight from Autogeek, the last order I placed on the 2nd Feb, it arrived on the 8th. Thats over 8000 miles!!! I can place an order from a local company less than 500 miles away & have it take nearly two weeks on average to make it to me. It may cost a little bit more than I'd like but man, dealing with Autogeek is so stress free.

Yeah, bang on mate - they bend & stay bent but not by heaps - still work fine, just something I noticed is all.

.... So I don't get it, if you can get product shipped to New Zealand just fine, how is it impossible to get simple stuff for the dude in Australia? I dunno. What I do know is it's gonna cost $75 dollars for a small package containing three 16oz. bottles to ship to Australia, and that doesn't include the cost of the bottles which is another $45. Wow talk about precious wax/sealant!lol... But we'll see.

Thanks for the info. Reason I'm bent on the white brush is because I can buy 1 for cheap and I'm curious to try it for scrubbing tires after the major chore it was prepping my 4 tires for tire coating the other day... Now I know why Mike Phillips posted that thread about using a PC to scrub tires!
