I noticed almost all the paint work cleansers fill scratches and swirls. I was wondering what you guys recommend to use as a pre wax cleaner vs what you recommend as a pre polish cleaner.

I have read that IPA is not as effective as claimed with removign residue and old LSP's so I am shopping but overwhelmed with choices.

Currently leaning towards Griot's line but definitely open to suggestions.

Hmmm all of these contain fillers.... I guess a better question is what do you use to strip the paint clean to assess it before and after you polish?

Griots Paint Prep, will strip even the most durable sealants and wax's, clean out oils, fillers and give you the bare paint and true condition of the paint.

It's a secret. You should have stopped by a day earlier and you would have found out.:dblthumb2:

Why not just do an IPA wipedown?

Menzerna Top Inspection sounds like exactly what you're looking for. I use it in my shop all the time.

IPA is not a given at removing everything down to care paint... and after a couple polish jobs that were perfect after IPA wipe down, that showed swirls before the first wash was done I don't trust it.

Top Inspection does not seem to claim removal of old LSP's
