By chemical I'm assuming you're referring to polish or wax, try the following.
- All Purpose Cleaner and a tooth brush or a rag.
- Prep-Sol and a tooth brush or a rag.
- Isopropyl Alcohol and a tooth brush or a rag.
Yeah, I assume you're thinking polish/wax residue. Poorboy's trim restorer on a rag works phenominal. Takes off the residue and moisturizes the trim as well.
