My client's black LS460 has tree sap all on the hood and some of the roof that seems to have etched into the paint... Im thinking light/moderate wetsanding?

has all the sap been removed yet?

before wetsanding I would try an aggressive clay or even a magic eraser on it...

wetsanding gives me the heebee jeebies...

Well if its etched into the paint enough that compounding wont take them out than wet sanding or a repaint is the only other option. Just be sure not to go too far ;)

Magic eraser on paint? Think I read somewhere that's not a good idea. I would use Prep-sol, body prep, etc. to remove the sap. Then likely wetsand with 3000 to remove etching.

Had this happen to a motorcycle once...if sap has not been on for too long cold cold water will take it off. Use a microfiber and give it a try.good luck

magic eraser is like 4000 grit and should be handled with the same care as 4000 grit sandpaper but I've used it before on a Q7 to take off paint transfer with no issues.
