Least aggressive pad and polish the will remove 3000 grit sanding marks from headlights?

Ahhhhhh, LOL!!!

I THINK M105/orange should be able to do the trick on most headlights. I haven't worked on enough to know.

Yeah, that's usually my combo, otherwise PFW/M105 on the rotary works quickly too. I've had some that were a PITA though.

M105/orange
That's what I use the majority of the time. I have accumulated orange pads in various sizes that make it easier - but that is where I just about always start.

thought you said LEAST... 105 and the orange pad are up there with the MOST agressive method ...
with 3000 ive used a polishing pad and 151 to clean up some lights

I went with a yellow pad and 105, followed with a white and 205. Lenses came out flawless.

I've used Meguiar's 3000 grit finishing discs, and had no trouble using M105 with a microfiber cutting pad to remove my sanding marks. Done this on a few sets of headlights with great success. :props:

Shane, did you follow up with anything finer, or, was that not needed?

Haven't tried it on headlights but I used yellow pad with Power Finish on paint and it removed 3000grit.
