So I spent most of the day working on my van today.

I changed the oil-freakin 16 quarts of oil lol
Changed the fuel filter
Installed ply-wood in the van
Installed my air compressor
Installed my towel and pad drawer
Got all my bottles in and all my supplies
Also have a spot for my extension cords and my air compressor hose

I started taking the decals off the side and realized more of it is painted on!! Not what I wanted to see!

Here is what the outside looks like- Took me around maybe 45 min on the decals on the one side.

Funny seeing that Harrisburg PA on a van from Florida. (I was born and grew up in Harrisburg PA) Bummer that that stuff is painted on. What's your plan of attack for that?

Harrisburg is really nice ..atleast the spot I passed through. I bought it in philly. I'm not sure what I'm going to do on the paint yet.

for the top piece where the windows would be put your decal over it using a skin type. might cost less then repainting that area and the other spots could be covered with another decal for your business, or just get those areas spot painted...good luck with it sorry to hear the decals are painted on..

If it comes down to it ill wet sand it. If I have to ill get vinyl to cover that stuff.. possibly.

A lot of that painted on stuff like that is a different type of paint and often times not nearly as hard and usually thinner than the factory paint that it is covering. Wet sanding should work well.

Most of Harrisburg is really nice. Some of the inner city neighborhoods are a tough place to be but it's been a good place to live. There's definitely money here that allows for the detailing industry to do OK.

Yea I drove through there, sinking springs and new cumberland (I think)....looked like a great family place.

Maybe acetone? I would think that paint should come off kinda like paint transfer. But, it really depends on the type of paint I guess.

Just spray paint over it. I'll do it for free!:props:

I would think it should come of with thinner. I'm suprised to see most of it painted on. I wonder if it was cheaper than vinyl

This paint on here is no joke! I wet sanded some by hand then got a jitter bug out and its really thick paint...easy off didn't work.
