Well I removed all the decals from my 32ft trailer (11 years old and cracked) what a JOB. It left behind some glue in which I can't seem to get off. I'm trying GOO GONE as we speak and it's not really doing much.. Any stronger chemical out there for this kind of stuff?? Thanks!

I'm no pro but odorless mineral spirits will take care of it with ease. I suggest a small test spot first.

Dunno if acetone is close but it laughed at it.. Along with good off. Problem is the decal was cracked and the glue cooked on there,.

Acetone will just spread the glue around and make it very annoying to work with from my experience. 3M Adhesive remover is awesome IMO and I use it everytime I remove decals with crappy glue left behind.

Meg's body solvent works well. There are stronger solvents out there but it's expensive and usually comes in a 5 gal can.

We use a body prep solvent, most of these contain xylene. Have used Megs solvent but never really had any luck with it doing anything at all. Automagic has a multi-purpose solvent that works pretty well.

Goof Off - not Goo Gone. There's a big difference. Goof Off will rid tar, tree sap, and even left over glue with ease.

Wd-40 didn't do #### when I used it today, big thumbs down on that, wish I would've tried 3m adhesive remover

dont mess around trying household items, just grab some tarminator from the parts store and use that, it removed adhesive not even acetone nor high heat could remove, can remove that dried stuck on tar from exhaust tips. stuff is imo the best besides pure d-limonene you can use ..... spray on let it sit for a while. the best adhesive removers contain d-limonene and best thing is d-limonene is a natural solvent.

I'll try 3m tomorrow. Thanks

I am no pro, but I use CarPro Tar X with good results (probably the new CarPro Trix will work the same - it's supposed to).
You can also try Meguiar's Body Solvent D130.

Did you let the goof off sit on it for a minute or two to let it break down? I really like that stuff. Hold onto it, it's great for sap.
