What kind of Vacuum is everyon using these days?

I have a really old Sears shop vacuum that I've used before but it's on it's last legs.

I also have a small portable Orek that's just ok. Really tiny bag that fills up quick.

Looking for something car sized that has a lot of power.

My wife says I should just use my Dyson Animal. Uh, no way. Much too expensive a piece to use on cars.
 
Home Depot sells a Ridgid 2.5 horse hand held shop vac for around $40, and less than $30 if you catch it on sale. I use it as a backup and it is a boss of a vacuum. Might be the ticket for you.
 
Thanks, I'll look into it. I think that's actually the vac my father has in his garage.
 
I've ben using a 5hp Shop-Vac forever and a day, or so it seems.
Might have to get another one pretty soon...The one I have sucks.

I use a Rigid Shop Vac. They were on sale a few years back for 19.99 @ Home Depot.

I use the Metro vac n blo. Small and mega powerful.

Finally bought the Compact Vac N Blo on sale here a few weeks ago. I've really wanted a dedicated vac for my car. I love it! It's got great suction. I just mounted it on the wall and with 30' of hose I'm digging it! Highly recommend.
