I'm looking for a compound to use on a wool pad/rotary.

I already have a ton of FG400 on hand -- is there any reason to get M100?

I'm guessing quicker work time due to SMAT is the only advantage?

Thx.

I have both here. Although I like M100, I always reach for FG400 first.

That's mainly because of FG400 finishing abilities, if 'I'm feeling lucky' (kkkk), I can finish down LSP ready (or really close) with just it.

For M100 I'd need more finishing steps certainly, but it cuts beautiful mate.

Can't say if I'd order M100 (it was a gift together with my Meg's MF system), having FG400 I don't see much use for it. When I run out of M100, I'll probably not re-stock since I have tons of FG400 as well.

Hope someone else can chime in so I can make better use of my M100 as well.

Kind Regards.

FG400, finishes better and is easier to use.
