I picked up some Riccardo yellow clay before winter. I noticed that AG only has the blue for sale now. I just thought I'd throw this out there to see if there is any reasoning or rationale behind that.

I always heard good things about the Riccardo clay, and it was hyped pretty hard when it became available. These days, not so much.

Did the novelty wear off? What gives?

Their are a lot of products missing from the store. I hope they re supply..

As to: Riccardo's "yellow/blue" clays?
-I stuck with Griot's Garage "yellow" clay
-Clay Magic's "blue" works! Period!

As you can see...For me:

I have noticed that when products start disappearing like that its a safe bet that they are going to drop that Manufacturer. Same thing happened with Auto Finesse and Wolfs and it seems like the same thing is going to happen to Scholl Concepts. If that is the case I hope I can pick up some of their Vintage paste wax before they blow it all out.

There are some situations where I still prefer to use clay over one of the alternatives. Pinnacle clay is great to work with but a bit pricey for me, I would check out XMT speed clay you get twice as much.

That may be, but there have also been some changes to the Riccardo clays, yellow used to be the mild and as described here Riccardo Blue Detailing Clay Original Medium, auto detailing clay bar, best detailing clay bar the blue was more aggressive.

Now, if you go to the home of Riccardo, the blue is mild, yellow is medium, and they now have a black heavy cut.
