  • I have a truck that experienced an under the hood fire. Because the fire melted the hood release cable before it was noticed, I was unable to open the hood. I pried the hood and fender and used an ABC extinguisher to put the fire out. I emptied it while the hood remained closed and the engine running. Inside the truck the heat was on and blowing.
State Farm does not seem to be interested in listening to my concerns about the engine, both internal and external, as well as the interior of the truck. This incident happened in Jan., the truck was at the dealership getting new body parts but nothing was done engine related. As of today, I still have the powder in the engine compartment as well as in the vents. Any advise or documentation you could share?
