Can I use chemical guys nonsense cleaner to thoroughly clean the tires? My tires currently has optimum opti-bond tire gel and I would like to remove it and apply turtle wax jet black endura-shine tire coating (not the aerosol).

You can use it without issue, but there's better products for tire cleaning.

Meguiar's Super Degreaser or Zep Industrial Purple if looking for good cleaner found locally.

I've been using Zep 505 with good results on wheels and tires.

Zep Industrial Purple is truly industrial. I know it totally kicks butt as a tire cleaner, but you should not breathe in any vapors or get any of it on your skin. It is a bit too dangerous.

My friend used Zep Industrial Purple to degrease the floor of his at-the time new shop. He had some serious respiratory problems for about 1.5 months afterwards.

I'm very happy with Optimum APC as a tire cleaner.

Mothers Foaming Wheel and Tire Cleaner is another really good choice. It works great, cheap, and can be found everywhere.

I also suggest Mothers tire cleaner. Nonsense is not that strong in my opinion.

I used Mothers Foaming Wheel and Tire Cleaner on tires that had heavy silicone dressing. Removed the top layer easily, but took several applications to get the tire stripped.

Meguiars D143 Wheel and Tire cleaner is probably the best tire cleaner for the money I have found.

Im thinking of trying this. What were some other products that you used?

IMO D143 works just about/almost as good as D108 Super Degreaser at cleaning tires. Differences are you can also use D143 to clean the wheels w/light agitation, it also seems a bit less harsh to breath than Super Degreaser. However D108 dilutes to 5 gallons, while D143 dilutes to only 3.

Both are great products. I own both, but if I had to pick 1 I think I'd go with D143 because of its multi use.

Note: Both register a #3 out of 4 [health] Hazard Rating. So be careful not to breath too much of the fumes.

I've used D101 @full strength before. Adam's APC, Blackfire APC, Zep degreaser. Probably a couple others.

I tend to use Iron-X and CG Diablo

I think agitation is more important in bad cases. Drill brush ###.

DP APC 4:1 is usually my weapon of choice.
