Question For those experience in Zaino AND other LSPs...

Get my Zaino and Duragloss locally, so that makes me happy.

Maybe I have old lots or something but AW smells nothing like Z8

Maybe someone brainwashed me, I don't think I have smelled them side by side, I think someone else said they smell the same. I know I have compared Z-6 and FC&S and they are identical-- smell, color, behavior.

OK--I went and compared Z-8 and AW, you're right, Z-8 is yellow and kind of a pineapple smell, while AW is clear and more vanilla--performance is very similar though although as previously mentioned the Z-8 seems more "concentrated".

Could be in the running for post of the year, LOL! Now the question is this, who started the rumor of the 2 being the same and what was their proof? Someone dig up F. Lee Baily and get the fact finding mission going, LOL!

They're not "the same"...but there are too many coincidences with the products for them not to be related.

Zaino is a great product line. I use their products for everything but heavy swirl removal. Z2 and Z5 (for dark colored paint) are super easy to apply and last for as long as they say. ZFX is a great additive that makes them both better. Z-CS makes them last for 9 months and even longer if maintained correctly.

100% for Zaino as an LSP. Haven't had a complaint yet.

477 RWHP, 480 RWT
Slower now after latest HP/TQ Gains. No traction, the car gets sidways shifting back into 3rd from passing gear on the street at 90+.
Best time to date 12.85 at 116
Just got Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials, Hoping to lower ET considerably.
Right now I am blowing the tires away through 2nd gear, my 60' times are slower than stock last run.....
I will make a few passes a week from Friday at Atlanta Dragway.
The day after making 10 laps on Atlanta Motor Speedway!!!

That's pretty impressive, trap speed tells the story there, NO TRACTION!!! Does it have a converter or gear ratio swap?

Stock converter, factory 3:55 LS rear.

I travel in it a good bit, so I do watch fuel mileage. believe it or not 22-24 is attainable at highway speeds!

Looks like my Zaino is coming back off this afternoon. I was doing an inspection last night and found some hazing in a few spots that I didn't see before I started applying the Z layers after my last round of polish.

I have an order of Menz FF and some new pads coming in this afternoon.

Might be going with Blacklight/V7 for this trip.

I tried layering Blacklight on top of 24 hr cured Z2 on a panel, Not a happy mix, got streaky, didn't want to come off, I had to go back over the area with ZAIO to clean the whole mess off and start over....

So back to the OP.

Zaino and CG Blacklight do NOT play well with each other!
 
I have layered quite a bit of different products over the time I've been on AG w/o stripping anything and have had NO issues w/ products getting along with each other. Removal has never been a problem either, even w/ Collinite #915 which was supposed to so finicky, left it on the entire car one time and removed w/o a prblem, even left it on for 1 day and removed w/o a problem. When I read all this I feel like the Dtailing gods are on my side or something, LOL!

I have come to the conclusion that both my Z2 and Z5 are each over 5 years old. I'm thinking past their shelf life.

Maybe contact Zaino and see what they say before pitching it. What will you replace it with?
