Does anyone use it in a foam cannon? What dilution rate?
The snow soap however is not nearly as effective as the spray or paste. Use the spray or paste for a first time decon. Then use the snow soap everytime you are going to re-apply your LSP as a maintenance in a foamer. At next tear down try the spray or paste again and if you don't get any reaction, you can probably just snow soap it going forward each time you re-apply LSP or tear down.
That's a bummer. I just bought two bottles thinking it would be a great decom partner with my Nanoskin mitt. Was going to.go straight to polish after using them.

It's significant only if you can actually see many iron deposits on the paint (better described as tiny rust specks). If not its just another aid in helping maintain a flawless finish.
On my 2012 Cruze I had very little "bleed" when I used Iron X. I was happy that it at least completely removed sporadic spots that the clay bar could not.
Did it magically add more gloss or depth to the paint? Of course not. Is it worth it? I think so. Think of it as a compliment to the clay bar.
Contamination in many forms, including iron particles from various sources,One question I always had about Iron-X, is this basically considered to be a "one time use" product, or is iron particles-dust something that can continually plague a finish over it's life span?
I'm thinking that not only is the origin of the iron particulates being rail dust, but that it can also be dust from Brakes (Rotors-Pads-environment-exposure)

I've heard some bad reviews on the snow soap that it does not show a reaction when on the paint because it's diluted. One person recommended to apply some of the snow soap directly onto the mitt and wash the car and got better results. You may want to try that.
Well...I received my Iron X Snow Foam and Foam Cannon yesterday from UPS. And low and behold an opportunity presented itself on my company SUV which got bombed by birds yesterday while I was working. And as you guys said, the snow foam doesn't seem very aggressive. I did not see any purple streaks. And the SUV definitely had iron particles. It did seem to clean the paint of dirt and grime pretty well. I think I'll try using the spray bottle form next time! Appreciate both of your feedback on this.

That is to be expected... the snow foam is for routine maintenance and not heavy contamination removal like pure IronX. The snow foam is a very, very mild iron remover.
Wish they woudl advertise it that way. Thanks for confirming my experience with it last night however.
^Indicating that proper decontamination is required prior to using IXSS for regular maintenance. After a vehicle has been properly de-contaminated IXSS will keep it free of iron particles far more than any other car wash.
^Indicating you need to fill the entire foam lance reservoir with snow soap if you wish to use it as a better means of decontamination... ie you need to use almost 1/2 of the bottle of snow soap (assuming you bought a 1L bottle?) per wash according to their information... not very reasonable IMO.Dilutions:
-Up to 1:8 - Good iron remover but use regular IX on a "first time car". Above 1:8 it becomes a very weak iron remover, but still a great cleansing shampoo.
-Per car it will consume 400ml neat with foam lancer with a fully closed lancer valve. That dilution is for working on iron. As you know a power washer with the foam lancer sprays lots of water which means a high dilution while spraying. This is why why we recommend it neat with foam lancer if you want the IXSS to react on iron.
-If you want simple snow foaming and car wash 3 to 4 oz works well.
