Sometimes I just wanted to do quick one step minor correction, cleaning, and sealing on my car which I say about 85% condition. I am not really aiming for perfection on this one is a DD.

So I am tossing between Meg's Color-X which I can happily find in most auto stores, or XMT 360 which I heard a lot of good reviews on.

Both have mild cutting ability and uses DAT.

Which one works better on DA, easier to remove, and leaves better finish (highest gloss and clarity)?

I will top up regularly with D156 so durability is not an issue. Thanks!

I just used colorx on my mom's daily driver. I used it with a DA on a LC white polishing pad. It cleaned up the paint pretty good. It could not clean up areas of hard oxidation. I actually had to compound those areas which I followed up with colorx. I did not have any issues wiping it off. I ended up following colorx with a coat of M21. Over on the meguiar's forum, it's pretty common to clay, colorx and follow with an LSP.

I have not used XM 360.

I used ultimate compound as an AIO paint correction. Now I'm wondering if that might not be the best option. It appears to have gotten rid of all of the swirls and most scratches. Does anyone else use ultimate compound as an AIO?

For my understanding UC is more a 1-step correction, not AIO. It finishes quite nicely but still needs to be topped up with wax / sealant for protection.

That's right. UC does not have any protection properties. Follow up with a good sealant/wax and you will be fine.

I don't know if I'd use UC as a one-stop polish either. For that, I'd go with UP and top it with something.

When I used UC to rehab one of our cars, it did a pretty good job, but I got a much better finish and look by following up with UP to clean up the work done by the compound.

Going forward, I'll probably start with UP or even something milder and then wax it up after that.
