tyre and trim dressing

Products like glass cleaner/tire dressing/apc/leather conditioner (no polishes/lsps) from a production based detail supply company are definitely an option to look into.

They are much cheaper and the quality isnt great but for things like dressing tires/cleaning windows on a service that isnt a full detail or paint correction or high profit they are an excellent option!

I buy 5 gallon pails of 1:1 diluteable dressing (white stuff) for less than $100. Thats less than $0.15 an ounce - I generally use 4 ounces from a squirt bottle on a car at full strength. That means 128-256 cars you can wash/vac/shine tires out of a 5 gallon pail.

Meguiars hyper dressing is about $.30 an ounce - which is still very very cheap however

What would you guys suggest for this issue. A new client of mine has a Ford Excursion that is white. He says that the black trim runs down the paint when it gets wet. I suggested that it isn't the trim but dirt beneath the trim. I think he has taken it elsewhere to have it detailed in the past so is it possible they used something that is either breaking down the trim or a black tinted product that is running off of it. After looking at the car it does kinda look like it's the trim and not dirt underneath.

I was thinking about using Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant on the trim.

Clean the trim with and APC and a towel or brush the use the wolfgang trim sealant or UTTG.

Clean it really good with APC or water spot remover. I have good experience with CarPro Delux.

Opti-Bond Tire Gel will not run, but if you are looking for more long term use CarPro Dlux.

Hey Guys,

Just Bought a new 2011 Camary and am looking for a good formula for cleaning the rims and really shinning up the tires.

Get some apc or tire dedicated tire cleaner to get them as clean as possible. Key is having the clean tire then the tire dressing itself is subjective. I use mothers foaming wheel and tire cleaned for the tires and chemical guys vrp for tire shine

What do you think the best alluminum cleaner for rims is?
