Oh... Sheesh...
Dr. Colorchip?
Sorry to see that...now what?
Obviously poor quality paint job to begin with... but still one of the reasons why I don't use a pressure washer.
Wow, I've never seen damage like that from a power washer. That's definitely going to make me rethink using a power washer in the future. Was this your own car or a clients?
Pressure rinsing is an effective and safe way to remove dirt and grit from paint before touching it and causing scratches. You can just as easily damage paint with any tool used incorrectly, or if the paint isn't adhered to the surface correctly to begin with.
Just like certain products can damage wheels if used incorrectly or certain polishers can damage paint if used incorrectly, it doesn't mean pressure washers are bad. You just have to use them correctly.

Amen to that. Nothing wrong with using a pressure washer. Common sense prevails in situations like these.
Vegas, are you prepping it for a restore by getting all of the loose flake off or were you legitimately trying to clean it? Haha

Looks like a low degree nozzle or too much pressure or a combination of both. 1000 psi and a 40 degree or higher nozzle is all you need to clean paint. Anything more powerful than that can easily cause this type of damage.

What all are you having done to it?
