I know I just posted a thread similar to this but now I have a new questions after searching

If I use Klasse AIO to "clean" the paint, will WGDGPS adhere well? I know AIO is a paint cleaner but also is a sealant. I also know WGDGPS is best applied to bare paint.

Will WGDGPS adhere well to KAIO like it would to bare paint?

if you apply wgdgps on top of klassie aio it wont bond to the surface as well because of the adbrasives in the aio yes wgdgps will bond better to bare paint but if you want to remove any defects just polish the paintwork then use a product like carpro eraser or a apc to remove any remaining oils etc then apply wgdgps...good luck

I've been using the KAIO + WG DGPS 3.0 combo this summer on my space grey 335i and it worked out quite well IMO. (I applied a 2nd coat of WG a week apart)

I just did another coat recently but prior to that the car was still beading nicely and looked fantastic after 3 months. I don't know what would indicate it not bonding properly but I didn't experience any disappointment.

I've used KAIO as a base for several sealants in addition to WG, such as 4*UPP, EX-P, polycharged NXT etc. I've used it as a base for my PB's wheel sealant as well. It seemed to work well in all cases for me.

KAIO is not abrasive, only a chemical cleaner and polish.

You may or may not have a bonding issue with WGDGPS over KAIO. It might not like the layer of sealant from KAIO. Why not just use the Klasse SG? They are made to work together, you can't go wrong.

I.

II.
A. I know AIO is a paint cleaner but also is a sealant.
B. I also know WGDGPS is best applied to bare paint.
This reminds me of the theorems and properties that's needed when working with Euclidean geometry.

Postulates such as:
-If a = b, then b = a.
-If a = b and b = c, then a = c.
-If equal quantities are added to equal quantities, the sums are equal.
-If equal quantities are subtracted from equal quantities, the differences are equal.
-A quantity may be substituted for its equal in any expression.<<< This seems the most reasonable to me.

I say: "Run with the: KAIO-then-WGDGPS combo"!!

Thanks for all the replies. I guess I'll just have to try it out to be sure

I have done this.

It is a waste of both products imo.

You've done this combo, wgdgps over kaio, and you do not recommend it?
I thought kaio, being a non abrasive paint cleaner, though it leaves a bit of protection behind, is still a paint cleaner. And with that property, it should make dgps bond better, right?

It seemed to ME in MY PERSONAL experience that the WGDGPS did not last as long in terms of slickness and beading when applied on top of KAIO.

I do indeed have both products..... and in actual bottles, not sample sized.

YMMV

I mentioned in this and the other thread that I thought I had "good" results (having used KAIO as a base).

I am however willing to try DGPS again using WG PPE instead when I redo the car in the spring. I didn't own PPE earlier this year but I have some now following my last AG order.

I'm already extremely happy with the sealant. If its possible to observe even better performance I'm all for that.
