Unless you are wealthy enough to own some landed properties or condos with personal or sheltered parking lots, cars here are subjected to harsh weather conditions.

My Honda CTR was left untouched for a fortnight under constant rain and fierce sunlight at the equator.

Meguiars products are readily available locally so decided to try out the Ultimate Wash and QD.

Did the usual wash with UW, really nice to work with and leaves a squeaky clean exterior with decent shine. Then I finished off with Ultimate QD.

At first glance, the QD didn't seem to add on something impressive. Megs says that the polymer will cure in 12 hours so decided to wait. After 15 hrs, the weather held and I took out my iPhone cam and took these shots.

Too bad I didn't take the initial shots. There was a huge difference definitely after the curing!

Great products for the average consumer. The QD beads for 3-4 weeks with weekly washes, I would say it's worth every cent.

Looks great. I also like using the same detail spray when I use either meguiar's ultimate wax or M21.

Thanks folks!

I wipe down with Megs UQD every fortnight so didn't really know how long the beading actually last.

Tried a couple of other QDs and although they can be easy to use and even recommended for trims and glass, the Megs simply outshine and outlast them hehehehe.....and I don't seem to have issues with them getting on the trims and glass, just wipe them off. Gonna be my fav QD.

Quick detailers are usually used as a replacement for the wash when the car is only dusty (no actual dirt on it).

I suggest you try Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Wax instead for when you wash the car. It's probably more durable than the quick detailer, and it will probably give a better shine too.

Oh, the Quick Wax is the one with carnauba? Great! Thanks for heads up buddy.

UQD is some good stuff, I use it often after a full wash and at times after a RW
Really gives you a great shine and so easy to work with.
In the winter months I use UQW, leaves the paint smooth and protected.
Can't go wrong with either one.

Yes, for the price, hard to beat. I also use UQD to remove bird lime and tree sap, really easy to remove with the UQD.

I'm not sure if the products vary by region, but here in the US the Quick Wax is actually synthetic. That doesn't mean it doesn't work well, it just doesn't contain carnauba despite the word "wax" in it's name.

Actually it's a sealant, I am not sure if there is carnauba wax in it or not. But it's a great product.

Should have switched page before replying LOL!

We now he has twice the same comment LOL

Are you saying that an automotive product might be called something and actually be something else? I have NEVER seen that before, it's wierd LOL

I just went out and looked in my cabinet...geez...found four of um....Meguars QD , Black Fire, Z6 and a Mothers spray....the last two washes..I just plum forgot..:awman:...they sure make bug crap wipe off easier.

Neat car and it looks great !...I was going to ask what was your base application , since you do a wipe down often, it looks as though it actually layers up...obviously a good product. :xyxthumbs:

Oh yes when i read the product info it didn't mention wax in it. Probably called wax as a generic 'gloss' factor maybe?

Thanks RPM.

Car was coated with Japanese Glass Coating. The detailer did the usual claying and paint cleansing before applying the coating.

Curing time required at least 24 hours and recommended to keep car dry for a week but here in Singapore, no way the weather will hold. Only managed to keep car dry for 2 days.

Oh yes, it really looks layered.

Hi bro my neighbor in SG, since SG also having Optimum dealer, you should give Optimum product a try too :)

And whack on some Opti Coat.

And yea, I share your pain in our similar weather.
