Hi everyone. Just joined the Forum. I look forward to asking many of you, many questions. I have read through this forum several times to learn things. I love all the experience that is present here.

I have to ask, what's with the "little green guy" name ? Just wondering...

I'm watching the new Walking Dead. That little girl that is asking for help is green. Weird... Lol

Sorry couldnt resist!LOLOLOL

Just a small time detailer. . . "little guy". . . I'm eco-friendly. . . "green"; so I'm the "little green guy". Marvin would have been a great logo picture :)

First question: anyone know if Toyota touch up paint can be removed with paint thinner??

I don't think "paint thinner" is clear coat safe. I think your best bet is mineral spirits, which is usually considered clear coat safe. Oddly enough, mineral spirits are sometimes sold as "paint thinner", but I think any solvent can be in paint thinner - that's why I would get low odor mineral spirits.

Thanks. I have some mineral spirits. I will try that.

I have used thinner on my CC (mind you I am careful to wash it off fast and have a newer car) I think its ok. My car feels fine no problems here.

I have been reading a lot of people saying lacquer thinner or paint thinner, and that the thinners won't harm the clear coat. It's metallic dark silver touch up and will not sand to blend. The metallic sands away and it looks like the clear coat has been sanded off, so had to put put more touch up on to give it that shiny metallic look, but now it looks like a mess. I want to just remove all of the touch up paint and start again. Compound and polish out any of the sanding and then maybe thin coats of paint for the scratch and no sanding after

By the title... I thought it was a review on a new bissell little green.

Welcome to the forum!
