Tuff Tire Shine Review

I would estimate the protectant at 20 tires for 2 coats. Cleaner at half 10-15 tires, but it depends on how dirty your tires are.

Perfect, thanks for the info. By the way, do you know how many uses you can get out of the kit? I'd like to do my wife's car and my work trucks.

For me it's lasted forever but like the member above me said, that sounds about right. Cost is so worth it IMO. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the review. My six month update is coming in about 3-4 weeks

Here's the final update! It's been almost seven months now and the car has been in the same conditions except it has received no cleaning from a brush and soap. This whole period I think I might have actually scrubbed down the tires maybe two times. This time I hit it with some auto finesse citrus power and used the tuf brush to get a lot of gunk off the tires. I was surprised at how well this has held up. Obviously the shine isn't like day one but like I've said before you can definitely tell the tires are clean, have some sort of dressing, and has a clean overall look.

The review stops here for me since my tires are toast and they won't be on the car for much longer. At this point I would layer the tires with chemical guys vrp as I am actually very impressed with that dressing. It'll give a great gloss back to the tires and protect the original tuf coating. Any questions feel free to ask!

Oops thumb in the way :D

Sorry have to show off

Now that is very impressive! I am no doubt ordering the kit in my next order!!

Not trying to be negative but you are in San Diego. Not exactly the harshest conditions for tire products.

Never was supposed to go through harsh conditions. I'm not testing a coating on paint or anything. In the past seven months I've scrubbed these down with soap and water two times. You don't think that's impressive enough? Besides I drive 350+miles a week and it sits outside the whole time. Yea I'm not in frozen temps but you can get the general idea of how this product will perform. It's a winner.

Thanks for the update. Nice review. Looks like a winner of a product.

Judging from your pics after you cleaned the tires it appears it still gave a nice matte finish, kinda like a new tire look. Personally, I hate glossy tire dressings (wet look) and much prefer a nice dark black matte finish to the tire or something slightly more perhaps with just a bit of sheen like a satin finish. The "new" tire look is what I go for. But up until now none of the products I've used claiming "long lasting", last much more than a week or two. :dblthumb2:

I just finished applying TS last week. I do live where the weather can be harsh. In fact, 4-6" of snow fell last night, with perhaps more snow tomorrow, and rain on Wednesday. So right off the bat, TS will be tested.

I've put TS through a horrible winter of snow & salt (PA) and I can tell you it does hold up and I've never seen a product like it.

A few points to consider:

1. Prep is everything and can be quite labor intensive.

2. Once prep is done right, you never have to scrub the tire again.

3. You just top it off whenever you want after cleaning the tire with car wash.

4. TS doesn't look like regular dressings. It's dry and looks dry. It doesn't look wet or oily. It just looks carbon black with a little shine.

5. The system does end up costing a lot more than regular dressings, but it's worth it to me to not have to scrub tires and always have them looking good.
