Buying staff from Autogeek.net

Amazon.com has a huge bargaining power to reduce shipping rates and maintain contracts. That's obvious.

BTW: 7 hours more -- free shipping on AG. :)

Well they are the largest seller on the planet. :xyxthumbs:

I paid $140.00 for my Griot's buffer (GG6) with free two day shipping from Amazon, hard for anyone to beat that.

?

Who pays shipping from AG ???

exactly my thoughts. There are so many good oppertunities to get free shipping that i dont think ive ever paid for shipping. I mean really why would anyone complain about having high shipping for a single product? Doesnt matter if its one thing or 10, shipping costs. Some of you are expecting too much from AG imo....

Amazon is a billion dollar company (probably will be one of the first trillion) they ship more in one day than autogeek will ship all year.

They pay cheaper shipping rates, have more warehouses and like others said more buying power. Also, don't need to clear as large of a profit due to their volume.

It's not as simple as they should be the same price because they are both companies.

I've never seen products BOGO or 15% or 20% sales on Amazon?!?

A lot of my orders are for just 1-2 products.
I need a bottle of CG'S Super VRP and I'll get it for $12.00 with free shipping.
Also need more Maxi-Suds, another free shipping item and the cost for it is only $21.00.

With that said Phil from ?? is a small company has better shipping rates than AG and its just his wife doing all the shipping. So you can't tell me a much larger company making millions a year can't get cheaper shipping than a small business like his.

2 day shipping isn't technically free at amazon. A prime membership is $80 a year

I don't recall ever having to pay for shipping from PBMG. I have no problem ever meeting the minimum for AutoGeek, Autopia Car Care, or Amazon. I keep a running cart in several places. When I get to the free shipping minimum I unload. It takes a little planning and forsight but it works for me.

In my opinion the stellar customer service and super fast shipping is worth paying for if necessary.

Maybe you got a business to run tb that's why you order a lot....

Consider a weekend warrior who buys A few products a year maybe less than $50.

AG can likely get cheaper shipping, but the overhead is higher. The point I was trying to make is AG offers a lot if chachkies nobody else does. It doesn't come for free, and I'm sure it ain't cheap. AG does show car and extreme makeovers FOR FREE on people's cars. All that stuff cost $$$. You think Mike and Yancy are their at night working for free? All those cameras and the equipment costs $$$ as well.

I'm not sure why anyone would expect AG to pass on any savings on shipping to the customer. They are a for profit business and its not to their benefit. You can get free shipping easily enough, you don't have to spend too much. Someone can't spend fifty lousy dollars for free shipping? Really? That doesn't even fill my gas tank. They always have sales, BOGOs, promotions, new products first, giveaways, etc...

You can get almost any detailing supply under the sun from AG. Their inventory is massive, I'm sure some stuff has sat on the shelf, didn't move, and was sold as a loss or given as a "free gift" (think Muc-Off). All that inventory costs major $$$ to keep on hand.

Now someone is going to b*tch because they can get a gallon of shampoo shipped to them for less from Amazon, because they don't want to spend enough to meet the free shipping requirement? Really? Well, the solution is just buy it from Amazon. Oh, but you want the free shipping, sale price, and some BOGOs as well. Too bad.

Yes, you can likely get stuff from PBMG on Amazon with lower shipping. Its a business strategy just like sales, BOGOs, etc... The Internet is available to anyone to search and find the best deal, if that's what is the most important thing for them to do. Me, I don't waste my time.

I just think its kind of silly when people come in AG's and complain they spent $4 more to ship a single item, but then go ahead and take advantage of the forum, giveaways, videos, promotions, etc... that AG offers for free.

I mean any idiot can (and sometimes does) come on here and buy Meg's Ultimate this or that polish from Pep Boys and their Harbor Freight DA polisher and get top notch expert advice on how to use it for FREE here. There is a whole thread with like a billion posts regarding the HF polisher for people who were too cheap or too poor to buy a GG6 or a PC. Ask the guy at Harbor Freight what backing plate or pads HE recommends !!!

I have to agree with Swanic on this subject!

Thank you AutoGeek for the great value and support! You have a lifetime customer here. :)

"Amazon is a billion dollar company (probably will be one of the first trillion) they ship more in one day than autogeek will ship all year. "

Amazon did $62,000,000,000 ($62 Billion) in sales last year. That's $7,000,000 an hour! So, I bet they ship more in an hour that PBMG does in a year.

I wonder if the sale goes thru Amazon, the product is actually shipped from the PBMG warehouse, but gets to use the Amazon negotiated shipping rates.

Being that I am in Canada, it's not uncommon for me to see high shipping costs from AG ($30-90 excluding import taxes). It's not so much the cost, but the timeline. USPS may be a good service in the US, but Canada Post (our govt run system) is run by baboons. Once it clears the boarder (takes 2-3 day to get there, 1-2 to clear) and Canada Post get their hands on it. It's at least 10-14 days to get here. AG says they can ship UPS, but refuses to get me a quote, I am willing to pay a bit extra to get my stuff in a week, not 3. For this reason I make an annual purchase to AG, then get everything else from eShine.
