Water spots

I live in Hawaii where water spot is a big problem. Due to thevery hard water from sprinklers and the volcanic rain we have here water spots are a big issue. The sun here is very bright snd always shine csusing the smallest amount of water to stain. I just trying to find out what most people use to remove water spots. I have been a religious user of wolfgang and menzerna products but they don't seem to work well. I have found the products that work the best is the CG 34 and 36 and for windows or glass XM7. Just trying to gage what other products others have used with success. Thanks

meguiars m105 and m205 works great as for a otc product meguiar water spot remover works nicely too
 
I used Zaino Z2 pro for around 12 years prior to using DG products now. In all this time I have not had a spotting problem that did not come off with a wash. I have also starting using DG Rain Repel on windows for the last year with no spots. These products have been used on Twilight Blue, Driftwood and sand colors. One is a 99 another 2002 and the last a 2005. It rained here off and on for about 2 weeks during the summer and I intentionally left the vehicles nasty during that time. When wash day came they all came out perfect. Does this happen with everyone that uses/used Zaino or DG products I do not know.

I would assume that with a dark colored car (Black) that would not be the case. Light colors hide a lot of things like minor water spots and streaks from drying.

That could be true, that is why I mentioned the Twilight Blue. There have been a few times I was told that is a nice Black car.

You didn't mention anything about protection.
Is your car protected with a good sealant or better yet a coating?
My wife parked next to a sprinkler once and the sun was out, water spots all over the drivers side and hood.
My car was sealed so the spots were easy to remove with m205.
Without protection I know how hard it is to remove the water spots.
 
I've tried different protection but nothing I'm been bkown away by. Jets seal 109, collinite, WG sealant, nothing seems to stand up or last longer the 4 weeks.

ONR has a water softner and a great way to add to wash water in order to help with water using for car care. One of several options in order to control some spotting.

Did you prep the surface before application? Have you considered a coating?

I have two black vehicles. I always end up with a few waterspots no matter how careful I am. I have never encountered any spotting that wasn't easily removed by Wolfgang or Meguiar's polishes. If I catch them soon enough they will wipe away with Ultima Waterless Wash +.
