I'm looking for a product, I'm assuming it will be a wax, that will sheet the water off my vehicle rather than bubble and sit. Weather its a combination of products used together or simply a wax worth the money that will perform with such results. Detailing is a side hobby that I love doing and looking for that ultimate sheeting affect.

Rejex sheets pretty good for me. Some people it doesn't last very long for though. Not sure the issue there.

Although I've never used either, Blackfire Black Ice and Zymol Glasur have a good reputation for sheeting quickly. Don't "assume it will be a wax". Many sealants and coatings sheet extremely well!

I have found D151 to sheet very well. It will bead water but when flooded it slowly sheets the water away and leaves very few beads. I made a video on it... it's around here somewhere.

Most Glazes do well!! Megs mirror glaze sealant works great! But any wax will work and a nice sealer as well. U have so many choices its not funny.

Exactly. You can't go wrong with D151! Top that off with a good sealant for added protection and you're set.

The Black ice is $$$ !! Although I am a believer in u get what u pay for. I'mgoing to look into some glaze products . I just finished a full wash, clay, polish, and wax yesterday using Megs Deep Crystal.

Glaze is really designed to fill in minor surface defects for a short-term benefit.

Glaze by itself will not make it thru two car washes and therefore is probably not a good option as a last step product.

Glaze can be topped with a wax or sealant to increase it's longevity.

I keep in mind:

-It's one thing for manufacturers and folks to post pictures/videos of water that's flowing from an open hose,
impressively "sheeting off" of: Wax-ed/Sealant-ed/Coat-ed vehicle surfaces...Why even my vehicles do that!

-But that's usually not how rain falls.

Back on topic...

The Chemists at Meguiar's formulated their Gold Class Wax to not bead water...Instead: To sheet water.
They understand that water beading, and then its subsequent drying-up on painted surfaces, can lead to problems.

I tend to believe them.

So heres a few pics of my truck after the wash, Mothers California Gold clay kit, Deep Crystal polish, and Deep Crystal carnauba wax.

I feel im a fairly inteligent human being, haha, although after all the work I simply want to end and continue with the best results and the endless options of product to choose from on AG is just that....endless. I dont want common sense to stand in the way, again im just assuring i dont work backwards.

So adding to the previous comments that at this point a sealer/glaze is not an option, should i use moving forward for in-between washes a product such as Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Plus+ Quik Wax or Meguiars Gold Class High Gloss Premium Quik Detailer.

Do you have an example of a sealer/glaze, so I can understand what you are considering?

I get good sheeting action using Griot's Paint Sealant.
All for a small fee.
Top it with Meg's NXT wax and watch for some great sheeting action.

Chemical Guys Second Skin 6 Hybrid Coating System.

Is that something that can be applied over wax?

It's a new coating from CG. No idea what their recommended prep is but a coating should typically be applied directly to bare paint.

The Meguiar's Ultimate line is well recieved! I can personally vouch for Ultimate Quik Wax and Ultimate Quik Detailer. Top notch products!

Well I just read about the "Forum Favorite" package that sounds exactly like what I have been trying to piece together along with the AG flow chart showing all the steps involved including the optional ones.

Thanks guys!
