Introducing!! Pinnacle black label!!!

Dont want to answer for Nick but heres my take on it.

I tried this on a couple of different cars this week, it does darken at first but will leave a nice silky matte finish.

2 minutes after application

Hour later

I like the finished look.

What is the difference between the "surface coating", the "paint coating" and the "paint sealant"?

Thanks.

Darn, I just finished winterizing my vehicles last week, else I would have been all over those coatings, they look like they are amazing and I can't wait for more reviews. Oh well, there is always the spring :D

Diamond Surface Coating can be used on paint, glass, and wheels. It was formulated for all surfaces.

Diamond Paint Coating was designed exclusively for use on painted surfaces.

Diamond Paint Sealant is a juiced-up synthetic sealant; it features a resin-base that enables it to create an extremely slick surface that lasts months, not weeks.

Thanks for the explanation. Do you need the sealant if you use the coating?

Nick: Before using the surface coating can I prep with the old Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion? Can I top the surface coating with either Pinnacle Souveran liquid or paste? How about topping it with Wolfgang?

Would cleaning my wheel with Detailer's Wheel Glaze harm the coating?

If maximum protection is your goal, then yes. :dblthumb2:

OH BOY!!!...I get to use one of my favorite words:

-Does this mean you can "layer":
PBL-Sealant over the PBL-Coating(s)?

-How about a second, or more, layers of the PBL-Coating(s) atop themselves?

:)

You'll need to use Black Label Surface Cleansing Polish before application of the coating. You can top the coating with your favorite wax.

DP Wheel Glaze will NOT remove Diamond Wheel Coating once it has cured.

Bob,

We formulated these coatings so they can be topped with your favorite wax or sealant. Multiple coats of the coating (that's a mouthful) doesn't increase durability.

Okay I added it to my order. Do you put it on after the paint coating and if so is there a cure time for the paint coating?

This is the order that you'll want to apply the products:

1. Surface Cleansing Polish (most important step)
2. Diamond Coating (wait 24 hours)
3. Diamond Paint sealant

Maintain the shine and protection with Diamond Coating Shampoo.

The surface coating is in my cart. Trying to decide whether to go or not. Decisions, decisions! Need to sleep on it.

Not to be snippy, but what's the difference functionally? Is the paint coating a superior coating when compared to the surface coating when both are applied to paint? Will the paint coating bead/sheet better? Does the paint coating last longer than the surface coating?

Hi Nick...

Thanks for the reply.

Before I leave to visit where:
She sells some sea shells by the seashore...

Will any of the new PBL products, in your opinion, "work" on:
Rubber baby buggy bumpers?

Thanks. Hopefully CG Honeydew won't mess it up because I have a gallon of that I just got recently.

They're both going to perform equally well on paint. I've found the dedicated paint coating to produce tighter water beading; sheeting between the two is about the same.

I dont recall if it was Nick or Meghan that stated the new Black Label paint coating is "better" than DP Paint Coating but with a statement like that, aren't you basically burying DP Paint Coating and killing its potential sale?

I mean, I have almost a full bottle of DP left, and reading these comments, id rather unload my DP on someone else and get the Black Label. I'm sure others would feel the same and want the "best".

I understand marketing and wanting to sell a new product, but doing so at the cost of another products sales? The phrase "cutting of your nose to spite your face" comes to mind.

It is a superior formulation, but saying one is better than the other is an oxymoron to begin with.

It's like saying "My Ferrari 458 is faster than your Porsche Carrera 4S"

REALLY?!

They're both exceptional products that are intended for different crowds.

+1. They are also at two very different price points. The price is close now thanks to the sale but 'regular price' is far different, and will separate the two between the prosumer and serious enthusiast/professional market.

The Porsche Boxster continues to sell despite the 911's clear performance advantages! There are $30,000+ reasons to choose the Boxster over the 911! But of course, when performance is key and cost is no issue; then you've already bought the GT3. Funny how different performing products at varying price points works!
