HELP! Brown spots on White paint around wheel wells

Hello Everyone,

I was hand washing my new car w/ 1200 miles when I found this --- Black/Brown dust spots were all over the paint around my wheel wells and however I wash or clay bar - no luck. The area feels just as smooth as other places where have just been clay-bared! Does anyone have any ideas how would I deal with these? Thanks in advance!

 
Tar remover would probably fix you right up. Is that area protected? It's one of the ones I put a layer of sealant over the wax (which is based in sealant) just because I find it makes it wash off better. Lots of road construction in my area so I get it all the time.

I haven't put any protections since I bought it a month ago. Is it just normal road dust?

New cars don't come with paint protection on them. That needs to be done ASAP.

Ever see the oily film about the first 5 minutes of rain? That's grit, grime, oil, grease, tar, and just general road dirt. Unfortunately, that stuff is a bugger to remove. Chances are good it's all over your lower kick panel and it's just too far down to see it. You can try a little dawn in car soap just for that area. I removed some with that and a bug scrubber I use on the undertail of my bike.
 
Have the tires ever had a tire dressing applied by anyone...
Looks almost like tire dressing sling.

Tire dressing sling sometimes will cause actual staining of the paint:
"Deep down into the paint molecules type staining".

Hope that's not your case.
Have you tried to polish these areas yet?

Not to beat a dead horse, because I always suggest it for these types of stains, but a little Poorboy's World Pro Polish (original formula, not Pro Polish 2) should clean that staining right up if the Tarminator doesn't do it.

A liquid type of metal polish should work the same way.

It's a chemical solution and not an abrasive one that works best for these type of stains.
 
I'm with Bob on this one.

Looks like tire dressing stains.

Permanent, but sometimes fade. Even car manufactures warn about solvent based tire dressing containing bad silicone. (DMS)

If this is tire dressing staining, which it looks like it is, there's nothing you can do.
 
Tried Tarminator but it didn't help much. I don't think the dealer put tire dressing on it without charging me anything extra.

I'll probably get it polished tomorrow. So whether the stains will get removed or not I will be able to apply Collinite 845 on it I think?

Too bad you're not in Illinois...

Ok well my guess is your dealer did a 'new car prep' and applied a tire dressing that contains a solvent called Dimethylsiloxane. They shouldn't have this at their dealer and I believe Nissan is one of the firsts that doesn't allow this type of product to be used or cover any paint issues that this stuff may cause.

You need to talk to your GM and service director/manager; have them call a district manager. District managers are the trouble shooters for the most part and should get this solved for you. If they are the ones that applied it, then they should resolve it for you.

If you were in Illinois, I would help you.

Your pictures and descriptions match exactly to this issue. Sorry.
