Rupes LHR75E Mini

So the 5/6" microfiber pads are intended for the 15 (and maybe the new 12)? I didn't think a 5 inch backing plate was officially approved for use with the 21?

How much power does the Mini have? I don't see power mentioned in the "features."

This will solve a lot of issues for mobile guys! (Or even those who don't want to break $1k on a compressor) Only option before was the GG3 or a standard DA with a 3" pad.

Rupes needs to make an electric TA50... Then I will feel like I've died and gone to heaven!

^ you kinda are lol

Hi Guys,

Ive been working with Rupes on these tools and microfibre pads for the last year, they rock big time, and Im very happy that everyone at Sema sees them first, just wish I was there as well! :(

They don't give specs on how much power it has, they only specify that it consumes 400 watts from the 120V AC line. Motor efficiency and various other design choices enter into the usable power/torque.

The Griots GG6 consumes 850 watts and the Rupes 21 consumes 500 watts. If you needed maximum correcting power, which one would you choose?

I guess manufacturers do listen to the cries of the masses! I guess I need to pick up some clients in order to justify new toys (tools). Hmmmmm........

I've had the pneumatic version for a few months and the air-tool noise gets a little annoying after a while. I might have to jump on this.

Anyone see a speed dial on it? The article talks about it, but I am not seeing it.

Good short article from Tood Cooperider on the LHR75E:

Here's a quote from that article,

Todd Cooperider said:
There were only 4 Developmental Detailers in the entire world who were part of this development program, and we were quite happy to be one of them.

I recieved mine in April if I remember correctly...

I know Paul Dalton recieved two prototypes I'm guessing Kevin Brown was the fourth.

Just to note, all the guys that attend the next two Thursday night proejcts here at AG will get a chance to use these tools first hand.
