Weather was nice enough here in MA yesterday to give it a quick wash and seal/polish before winter. I don't have a garage and the days of warmer weather are going away quick.

In the spring I'll need to give it a full on detail because it looks like the previous owners (GM and or whomever had it as it is a pre production vehicle) took it through automated car washes and the paint is swirled up good.

Everything was done by hand. IronX and Iron X foam treatment, followed by Wolfgang Sealer and Soulveran wax.

Beautiful car right there, loos sharp:)
Love the color, it's a color that you'll appricate after a full correction.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on your new car

When I took it to the dealer yesterday to get a MA inspection sticker they had never even seen a Verano manual. Rare car I guess.

Thanks. The Cavalier I had was totaled by my wife. She ran a stop sign and was hit by a dump truck. She was ok but the car was a loss. This is a HUGE step up.

Is that the new "ruby red" like color GM is puting on many of their cars? I think it's beautiful. The car looks great.

Good choice on the transmission too. Save the manuals!

Thats a nice looking car. But honestly, if you asked me before I saw this thread, I would have said they don't even make Buicks anymore.

Manual. I love it.

HP?

Torque?

Same basic engine as the Cobalt SS/GXP Solstice/Regal GS. Rated at 250hp/260 ft-lb's of torque. 6spd manual as well.

Yes the color is called Crystal Red I believe.

You should consider removing the dealer advertising from the trunk lid.

Congrats! Question, why the Verano, and not the Regal turbo?
Thanks!

Couldn't afford new.
No GS Regals used within 400 miles of me that weren't black. And even then were out of my price range.

I got this car for $4800 under retail and it's certified to boot.

This was the only Verano manual within 1000 miles of me.

Very nice choice. I detailed a Regal GS not long ago and loved it. Interior was great and super comfortable. Only thing I hated was the sunken exhaust tips that had a immense carbon build-up!

Wow! I did not know they were putting 6 speeds in them...interesting.

Looks like it will be a fun car. But, it's a Buick. Wait, it that even possible? Does not compute! Does not compute! Danger Will Robinson! It is great to see some attempted life being injected into the brand, though. Very nice looking car, which is another thing that I haven't said about a Buick since 1987.

When was the last Buick built with a manual transmission? Anyone know?

Just over 20 years ago was the last time a Buick was offered with a stick. They started offering them in the regals a few years ago which is awesome. The regals and veranos are both offered with 6 speeds.

I wonder if the manual transmission is special-order only like it is in the Ford Fusion? Either way it's probably rare to find people who want a manual transmission Buick. (Heck, I had a hard time finding a manual transmission Focus, and used to be half of those were sticks!). People just don't like manual transmissions anymore. But I love 'em! Way cool man!

My wifes Honda Motorcycle has a real deep ruby metallic red like that. I think it's even a tintcoat. It's a gorgeous coat of paint.

Anybody remember the Park Avenue Ultra? 3.8L V6 supercharged. That was a sweet buick :) Would absolutely roast those front tires. In fact later models had to have an 'HD' transmission because earlier models were having premature failure due to the torque from the engine! Nothing like driving grannies Sedan that'll get up and go!

Nice car! I didn't know Buicks could be had with a stick shift either.
