I use it on my car and I like it for windows that don't have wipers. Because on my windshield it streaks really badly when it gets wet.

I will say I'm sure there is much better glass coatings but this what I decided to try since it's cheap and I'm in SoCal so I don't really need it other than a few days of the year.

I'm in NJ. So I'm getting car ready for winter rain & snow!

I like it. Works really well in the winter. Makes scraping ice and snow off the windshield easier. Window cleans easier with the wipers too. Using their 2in1 Orange washer fluid extends the life of it quite a bit too.

You kind of see how the ice on the windows in this pic is just sliding right off and not being allowed to bond to the windshield. Where as the rest of the truck is completely covered in ice.

Rain-x is awesome I put it on customer's cars for that added protection.

I just use paint sealant. Never had a problem with applying Klasse AIO every few months.

I've used it for many years, and like what it does. It's saved my butt on two specific occasions, once with a failed Voltage Regulator on my 1990 Dodge-Cummins Truck in a torrential rainstorm at highway speeds, and another time up in the mountains here with my Tahoe, and a Wiper circuit board issue.

Both times, if without Rain-X, I'd have been up a creek.

May not last as long as other glass coating products, but it's easy enough to re-apply once a month, is relatively inexpensive, easily gotten, and can be applied in cold weather, provided the glass is dry.

One personal dislike, is often getting wiper chatter with the product.
I believe other specific glass repellent products I have recently tried have less tendency to do this.

RainX is a fine product, I used it in the past now I use Griot's Paint Sealant on my glass.
About six months ago I applied it to my windshield , a few days ago I got caught up in a storm, heavy rain, I was surprised to still see amazing repelling.

It's cheaper than RainX and has more uses , I get about 8 months of protection on my paint, not bad for a low cost sealant
Well that's how I protect my glass now?:dblthumb2:

I use rain x on my weekend car since I don't run any wiper blades all year round, I've been fought in a couple rain storms on my way home from shows and it sucks when your paying a toll since it doesn't start to blow off until 30mph but other then that it's worked wonderfully

Don't use Rain X but do use the Rain X washer fluid so I guess I am using Rain X in a passive way.

There are better glass products out there.

AND..........

Way to offer up info on that one.

I use Rain-x and as said works well, cheap, and I basically can get it at any local store that has auto products.

I just coat my windows w/ whatever LSP I'm currently using every so often, sometimes too much can just smear things up a bit too much, especially for me since I layer a lot. I do use Rain-X washer fluid though.

Any glass coating, paint sealants, durable waxes like collinite, haven't used aquapel but have heard it lasts 6 months.
I'm using carpro flyby30 and its very durable. Topped it with Sonax polymer netshield, WOW. Water goes flying off the glass.

I've been using Rain-X since the 70's, but recently have been looking for better choices, since I'm trying to avoid using wipers at all. My daily commute is entirely at low speeds, 30-40 mph, which is a tough chore for a sealant. Aquapel is great stuff and will last thru an entire PA winter, but it's quite pricey in its single-use packages. This year, I've been using Griot's Garage Glass Sealant, glass protectant, windshield sealant. It's still rather inexpensive, doesn't have the fogging or smearing issues of Rain-X and lasts 1-2 months before the "threshold" speed rises to 40 mph. I haven't seen any reviews of Car Pro Flyby30, but have heard positive comments, so that will be on my next order.
