Good review man...thanks for taking the time.

Sub'd for durability results.

Nice review. Hopefully the durability is good. Was the whole bottle enough for the "20" tires?

Glad to see another review on this. I don't think this product gets the credit it deserves. I'm on three months second time testing it. I think I'll give it an update in December and bump my thread

thank you and thanks for taking the time to view it!

thank you and I hope so too! Most are reassuring it holds up well.
Yes, I used more product than needed when I put some into another bottle w/ a foaming head as the bottle on the tuf shine cleaner is one of those that is "locked" on similar to a couple otc megs and mothers I have used which in my opinion is quite annoying. Even with all of that and 5x sets of tires cleaned (20 tires) I had a good 4 ounces left of the 22 ounce bottle

do you have a link to your review? Certainly have high hopes for this!

So.... my routine of washing tires and wheels is 5 gallon bucket with some soap....
The last time i tried Tuf Shining my tires, i always got bubble here and there, making it look UGLY.

I think the reason was because i dip my tire brush in my bucket with soap, caused cross contamination... I am eager to try this product again on my BFG A/T....

However this stuff.... once u apply on, u seriously CANT REMOVE IT.
Last time when i messed up my application, i tried to remove ALL of the coating from my tires.

I used Tufshine tire cleaner , goo gone , mineral spirits. None of that really removed it CLEANLY.... so seriously it is a live or die situation lol

So confused if i should try this again or wait for the Meguiar Ultimate Tire coating -______-

Great review, Son1c. Thank you for all the time and effort it takes. Looking forward to seeing how durable the tire clear coat is, and seeing how easy it is (hopefully) to clean the tires.

I appreciate the notes you place in the video as well as the comprehensive commentary. Toward the end of the video, I was thinking "Hey, he didn't mention or show buffing out the high spots" -- right at the time you said "I didn't have to buff off any high spots." haha.

What type of editing software are you using to input the text comments and to replay at 2x, 4x, 16x?

Thanks!

I will want to try megs option as well mainly due to price but honestly I doubt anything will match tuf in terms of durability. It's pretty damn good

Great review! Couple questions, mainly regarding how much of the tire clear coat you use per tire. How many mL (oz - whatever you're more comfortable with) would you say you used to prime the applicator? After that, how much more product was used per coat?

I'm just trying to see if it would be worth it to buy the larger size or if that would do a lot of tires.

Thanks for he review and answers!

The little bottle is more than enough for your personal car but it might depend based on how often you want to gloss it up. If you're using it for business definitely get the biggest size

Maybe try it again on one tire? a lot less of headache to deal with one bad tire as opposed to 4!

Those portions were edited with Movie Maker

what is the price range for the megs option? Dupli color has a inexpensive aerosol tire coating as well which I have but have yet to try out!

I will go check once I'm home but I do not think I used more than an ounce to 1.5 oz for 2 coats on 4 tires and I lost a bit of product not paying attention when the sponge was not primed/saturated

This is a unique product and I would definitely recommend trying it out in the smaller quantity so if you decide the product is not for you then it was a less expensive endeavor

My pleasure! Thanks for viewing and commenting

Thank you. My kit arrived last week and I'm planning on doing an SUV this weekend so this couldn't come at a better time. I always freak out (unnecessarily) about over/under application with any product I'm unfamiliar with. This should cut down on my angst.

I wish I could detail that fast. LOL.
haha me too!
Great review. Thanks for putting it together !!!
My pleasure pat thanks for viewing!

certainly understood! please post your results once you have used the kit! :buffing:

I did the SUV today and I learned a thing or two. First, my tires were not as clean a I thought they were. The car is less than 6 months old and I scrub them each time it has been washed, probably 10 times. My go to is Amazing Roll Off and like said, I thought they were clean. They weren't.

I used 3/4 of the cleaner before the foam turned white. The application was very straight forward and I allowed about 20 minutes for the first coat to set before doing the second with a rotation after each coat for full coverage. Sorry I didn't take pictures until after I was done. It now looks like a medium shine tire so I won't include the pics. Besides, your video is spot on.

My observation is that it didn't even out until the second coat. The first looked pretty blotchy and uneven but that went away on coat 2. I stopped there because I didn't want the greasy look.

I used less than 1/4 of the coating so it goes much further than the cleaner. I am happy with the result and if it lasts like is claimed, I'll be really happy to not dress them every time.

So, I drove to Colorado Springs this week for Thanksgiving. All in all, about 1800 miles. We didn't get any snow but there was some on the ground. From the belt down, the car was pretty filthy with road grime so I figured this would be a good test for the tire coating.

I made a nice soapy tire bucket with CG Mr. Pink and set to work on the wheels, arches and tires. Impressive. It looks just like the day I put it on 2 weeks and 1800 miles ago. So far, so good. Additional testing will be done without me driving 13 hours and may involve commercial air transportation.

that is certainly impressive, do you have any pictures? what did you use to clean the wheels, just a tire brush or did you go less aggressive to ideally "preserve" the coating? Will hopefully be checking up on this application soon
