My first detail in two months this weekend:)

Thanks guys, this truck is really worst than what you see here, the dude is a big outdoors type of guy, hunts a lot.
Not sure yet what he used to wash it but man it looks like he only used water to wash the truck.
I'm pretty sure this truck hasn't been washed for at least year and never waxed.

looks great!..how is the back doing..hope everything goes smooth with the back cause your making the job look too easy.

Thanks for asking:dblthumb2:
Well it's holding up but I'm taking a short break ever hour or so.
Doc did a great job it appears:dblthumb2:

Dame it feels good to detailing again:)

Glad to hear your back on the wagon .. Take your time and don't overdue it. :buffing:

As others have said..."Take it EASY!!"

I know the adrenaline gets pumping but one vehicle doesn't pay for life...not trying to be a jerk... take the 'long view'. I know you are... but... take the 'long view.'

Best regards,

I appreciate all of the concern guys:dblthumb2:
This morning I felt good when I got out of bed, talking about the back, no pain.
My arms are tired but that's normal.
Soon I'll get back to it, have to be done with it today.

I'm almost done with the compounding and over half way with step two (205).
Once I'm done I'll apply Griot's Paint Sealant then start my dressing of tires and trim.

I may have to use v34 being its cold now, the 105 was getting difficult to work with towards the end yesterday due to the temperature dropping.
If the v34 doesn't cut it I'll try UC or Wolf's Chemical compound.

Came out pretty good for a farm truck.

Thanks for looking, time for a shower and food.

Looks like you did a fine job on the truck. How's your back feeling now that you're through with the job?

I hope you'll rest and recover a bit for a few days before scheduling another job in. You've got to hurt doing a big nasty truck like that just coming back.

Good job man!!:props:

You know I have no back pain what so ever.
Legs tired due to up and down but the back is solid, strong.
Before I had the surgery my back hurt like hell, I mean I did the work but was difficult forvme, so glad I did the surgery, I'll only improve:dblthumb2:

I get an 06' GMC truck, 2500 series , I get it Wedensday but will do most of the work starting on Friday, then the following weekend I get a 2010 Benz e550, same customer.
I'll be coating on these two using BL Diamond Paint Coating so that should be fun:dblthumb2:

One good thing about the next two, not in such poor shape as this one was.

Great job! I finally got done with mine. I now have to start my essay for class on Tuesday and I have work tomorrow. So I am just laying down resting for now. I have been following this thread but have been to busy to be participating on AGO like I normally do. I am glad that you seem to be in zero pain. If the Doctors gave you the Ok to start working, then work away my friend. Detailing at the level we do is very therapeutic. My doctor actually encouraged me to keep Detailing. So keep it up. :props:

First, glad your back is doing well! Second, great job on the cleanup! :props:
That interior was pretty foul. May I ask your process for the interior cleanup? I'm trying to get my interior process down to a science.

Thanks

I used an OTC carpet cleaner, Tuf stuff I think along with my steamer.
A little scrubbing then steamed well, afterwards I use a carpet extractor to pull out all that crap.
The steam was the key to getting it so clean, I put a MF towel at the head of the steamer and made a few passes rinsing the towel often or changing it out.

My steamer is made by McCulloch

Thanks for the info. I have the VX5000 and alternate between Folex, Meg's APC, Blue Coral (nice fresh smell), and 303 if needed. I haven't come across an interior that bad yet but would like to be prepared with my process.
Good luck with the other vehicles and rest that back!
