If this was swissvax or whatever. Id be more interested. But.. its chemical guys...
Yes, I agree. I don't see Chemical Guys as a high end or niche product.

Just a waste of time, money and our time. I feel really sorry for whoever buys this
At some level, it boils down to appearances, does it not?
Some guys will go get a $10 hair cut at a local barber shop, others will go to a boutique and get a $50 cut. Some would not be caught dead in either one; they spend upwards of $500 getting a hair cut, pampered with espresso and sparking water while getting a complimentary massage.
Now, if you switched out the stylists and put the $10 barber in the boutique, and the $500 stylist in the barbershop, the client wouldn't dare set foot in the barbershop to follow his stylist. It's about appearances.
Take detailing, for example. If someone told you they use a $4 Meguiar's product on their car, some of you might look down on them. While you don't see value in this low end product, they do.
Ultimately it boils down to perception, and what you are willing to spend. Some will spend $75 on a piece of steak, others wouldn't pay more that $10 or $15, and it better come with sides.
I played with the wax at SEMA. It really a true piece of art. A detailer collectable.
Maybe I will post up a review from CG Headquarters next time I am at the store. :dblthumb2:

How does one justify price? This is a legitimate question. Does it offer unheard of protection, shine, gloss, or overall looks? Does it contain ingredients that are harder to find than kryptonite(joke but you get my point). I would love to hear your response

crazy stuff... haha well the dollar store brings up an entirely different issue...those things probably aren't even worth a dollar! That's the other end of the goods spectrum, made with exploited labor, cheap materials etc...but let's not open up that can of worms now. I'm going to stop my rant before it fully starts. :nomore:
A lot of the dollar store stuff is just quantities anymore. A smaller quantity for a smaller price.
Chemical Guys has some decent stuff but some of their stuff rubs me the wrong way. They are trying so hard to be this hip, cool company appealing to a younger audience; then why do they have the most, hands down, no question; the most poorly produced videos in detailing? Crappy, quiet, crackling mono audio; awful effects, etc. etc. And their awful naming system... don't get me started. So complicated and confusing and the names mean nothing and tell me nothing about what the product actually does!
I like the products of theirs that I've used but the more they do stuff like this; the harder it is to take them seriously at all. My $0.02!
Boy, this wax got so many people's undies in a bundle. It's just a product from a company. Nothing more. Not a personal attack on those who can't afford the product. I don't take offense to products from any company that I cannot afford and for those who can afford those products, I applaud your hard work, persistence, bravery and dedication. Good for Chemical Guys for thinking outside the box and good for the people who can afford to buy this product.
As for "income inequality" don't get me started. In a free, capitalist society there will, by definition, never be income equality. If you value this concept then there are several countries that would love to have your citizenship and hard work ethic to contribute to "the collective". Cuba, North Korea and Venezuela come to mind. Nuf said.

It's got unicorn tears, dodo bird droppings, and bits of real panther, so you know it's good.
If your rich - more power to you. Who cares how you got your money. The people I despise are the welfare takers. America is entitlement happy. The masses have their hands out - and they want you to work while they play X Box and eat Papa Johns all day. That's the real problem, the forced redistribution of our income. Not those that have money and didn't work for it.
