first paying job // ACURA

You did an amazing job! It feels great right? I just recently had my first one as well. Like everyone states, just keep it up the way you are and everything will fall into place.

Loving the name! lol and yes it feels good congrats on yours aswell!:dblthumb2:

Looks good!

I know right now you are not concerned with the money but more the experience you are getting, and that is fine. Just be careful, you don't want these first few people telling everyone how cheap you are, it will be hard to get out of that rut and raise your prices. Just something to keep in mind.

I'm a big fan now. I'm starting to do this on the side too. Well, I'm thinking of doing it full time though soon. But I'm sticking on my day job at the moment while I have my garage constructed and while I do work at "promotional" price. As of today, less than two months since I started detailing, I was only able to do three cars--my dads old Toyota Corolla, my friend's 1999 Honda CRV, and my litte Honda Jazz. :)

Not even one year later and you're working on a Mcclaren! Great progress!

i wish you the best of luck. going back and reading this thread, and i remembered how i tought $80 was a good enough price. boy was i wrong. this customer to this day is still hitting me up asking me to do it again for $80. i told him that it was a great learning experience but that i cant touch his car for $80. my overhead, quality material + tools, my insurance.. it just doesnt add up. i told him that nowadays i might do a wash and spray wax for $80.

Everyone gotta start somewhere

we all do. learning the craft is the best. once you get good experience and do quality work.. customers will come naturaly.

congrats! Thanks for posting up!

thank you! my pleasure

yea man, its awesome. autogeek has been great to me. mike phillips and the guys from thursday night open garage really helped me learn this craft. if i must suggest something.. i would say that appereance is crucial, from the way you dress to the way you have your rig set up. if you look like a pro, talk like a pro, people automatically will tend to trust you in your services :xyxthumbs:
