First time with the "Little Green Machine" and my first Rigid Vacuum!

So, I've been incognito on the autogeek forum for around 3 years now and just recently made an account. Started off with a PC7424XP now with a Griots 6 and a Hitatchi Green rotary. Enough of that, though. So, 12/7/13 I noticed Target was having a super sale on the infamous "Little Green Machine" for 59.99. Sh**, that's a super good deal since I've seen many of you others boasting about how great it is for small scale detailing needs. I then ran around to purchase a Rigid WD0970 9 Gallon professional 3.5HP vac... 67" of water lift for 59.97 at Home Depot as well. Super hell of a deal today. It's my first time every doing this much work in the interior. It was a rainy day today in San Diego, so I just wanted to do a small scale just to play with it. Without further a due .... I'll post some before and after pics. Lol.

My Girlfriend and I both worked on these mats...I also have a video just to show how well it worked and the db of the mini extractor itself. I am not any type of Videographer...it was just recorded to see all the nasty in the carpet, haha.
Also, it was our very first time using this type of machine.... Granted, there is a lot to learn and better techniques to be used. OHHHH! FOLEX and agitation was used in this entire process..... FOLEX..is my new friend...

Nice deal on the LGM. Who doesn't like finding a bargain? Good before/afters ... nice turnaround on those mats. I've been wanting an extractor, but I haven't managed to find one for $59... .... and seeing what a nice job you did with the LGM, maybe I don't need an extractor that badly after all.

Mike Phillips has written many many How-To articles; I found several from the section in Detailer's Library called "Tips Techniques and How-To Articles for Interacting on Discussion Forums" to be very helpful. Mike is great about doing screenshots so you know what things are supposed to look like, where the various checkboxes are, etc. He also discusses the AGO photo gallery where you can store your photos if you want, how to easily create thumbnails, how to post your photos inline, and how to adjust the size of your photos so people don't have to use scroll bars to see the entire pic.

Use the links posted and you'll get it no prob. Flickr was kind of a pain to use though. You can upload straight to Autogeek it will make getting the image link easier than flickr.

I do have to ask... are you wearing a button down, pajama pants, and flip flops?:dunno:

I'd buy the LGM if it had a longer hose, it's difficult when working on trucks due to the short hose, I pretty much have to put it in the truck which makes it hard to get around.
But you made a great deal on yours
If you like it then I say that's all that counts.

I should have done that before I posted it, thanks for info! Woooot. Now i'll be posting up more things more often, now that I am happy with my exterior detail work....more to come!

Yea, FLickr is a pain....

LOL. Well, well well. I was wearing a black thermal and sweat pants, my girfriend was wearing PJs and flip flops. hahahahha! Yea.... it was my car...my house.....the comfort of home working on your own car is nice xD

Very true. The hose is quite short. But, I try to keep interior stuff down to small SUVs at the most. I honestly have a hard time doing large vehicles...being 5'-4" and doing paint correction on those behemoths takes a while....especially using 3-5.5" LC pads. Lol. I can't imagine extracting the interior of a truck either @_@

I was actually going to buy a Mytee Lite II 8070 ffrom my local detail shop for roughly 500..but...I don't have the time to bang out 3-5 cars / week since I"m a full time engineering student...and wouldn't break even and profit soon enough to cover tuition xD. BUT! If you don't do that many cars a week or the customer lets you take the car for an extra half day or so....it is worth it and extracts fairly quickly for the size. You would just have to dump and refill the water after every 2 mats or so, but it is a fraction of the cost. hahahaha. You should buy one to try out !
