so i purchased adams firehose nozzle because of its great reviews online. 50$ Seemed way to much for a nozzle and i was right. I dont know why, but i actually have like 50% more pressure without the nozzle than with it. Im really pissed off at this and will be trying to return it. What nozzles of any form do you guys use or recommend? Any of you guys have the Adams and are experiencing something different?

I have used it for a few years with no pressure issues. The good thing about Adams is that you can return it for a 110% refund.

I'd be upset too. Maybe it's defective?

Interesting, could it have to do with quick disconnects? im going to screw it in the old fashion way and see.

Has nothing to with the quick disconnects, because I have them as well. There are two options here in my opinion, 1) the nozzle is somehow defective, or 2) you just dont have good water pressure and are just noticing it after trying a firehose nozzle for the first time.

Ok good - well here's a dumb question - have you looked into the end of it to be sure the valve is opening all the way? We could check a million things but I would simply have them replace it because there must be something wrong. If you called them right now you would have a replacement on the way immediately...

sorry i dont understand. the valve on the water spicket or the nozzle?

Sorry I meant the valve on the shut off valve (if you have that as well).
Also I just noticed Adams is no longer carrying that nozzle and plan to release a new version soon.

Ok cool - FYI the shutoff valve is a must. You can leave the valve at the spicket wide open, and leave your firehose nozzle adjusted to the spray pattern you like. All you do is open and close the shutoff valve as you need it. So open it and spray a wheel down, close it and wash the wheel. Open it and rinse. Close it and move on the next one...makes life a lot easier.

I would return the nozzle for a 110% refund and wait for the new model or look elsewhere for a replacement.

what do you mean by 110% refund?

Adams has a 110% satisfaction guarantee on all of their products. If you are not completely satisfied, you return the product for a full refund plus 10%. So basically they pay you 10% for trying out the product. You have the option of simply requesting a free replacement or receiving the refund. Cant go wrong either way...

All Adam's products have a 110% guarantee. If you don't like something, they pay return shipping and refund you 110%. Go to their website and hit the "Need more info" box on the left side and it will take you to a live chat. Explain your situation and they'll help you out.

I got a fire hose from lowes i didn't like it I've tried so many different things i just like using my quick disconnect i turn it about half way i think the pressure works great for me

I have both the firemen nozzles from AG. They are great so far. I have the quick disconnect and cut off valve set up. I use them during the winter when I wash in the garage w/o the pressure washer.

I have a couple of these nozzles and they really are great to use. As I'm sure you know, Adam's doesn't make them, they just resell them. They are actually made by a legit fire nozzle manufacturer, LDM. You may have a defective unit, here are the specs from the manufacturer's website for the nozzle. It really should outlast you.

Garden Hose Nozzles are corrosion resistant, made from 6061-T6 Aluminum bar and Hard coated per Mil-A-8625 Type III (Polylube). This nozzle offers 2 straight streams and 1 fog pattern. The first straight stream is 1-2gpm @ 40psi, the second straight is 3-4gpm @ 40psi, and the fog is 4-5gpm @ 40psi. These nozzles have a massive bumper specially formulated to resist damage and aging.

I like my Adam's nozzle. It works well at lowers pressures than others I have tried.

I use the nozzle from RapidReel (Eley). It's pricey, but has an awesome grip. Maybe not suitable for what you want.
