What are the longest lasting coatings available...

OC is a nice product that lasts a long time, but it's looks are not on par with CQuartz or 22PLE in my opinion. I've had folks come back 18 months later and 22PLE still looks great and sheets great.

Who here, besides me, likes a 'Coating' that exhibits
excellent oleophobicity over an extended period of time?

Bob

I'm with you, Bob. I always enjoy it when my car repels margarine for years at a time.

I am interested in trying 22PLE. Does AG sell this line?

22ple VX1 pro is a good product. Great gloss and you'll get at least a year of durable protection out of it. More if you maintain it well. I've got iron my car (over a year) and my wife's (about 9 months). It is also incredibly easy to apply.

My approach would be to start with a couple of coats of Finish Kare 1000P. It's one of the most durable sealants out there. If the finish is in good shape, waxing the car will take less than an hour. Thereafter, you should be good with a bi-weekly or monthly application of Optimum Car Wax. I've heard very positive comments from quite a few people and I've just bought a gallon of it myself. It can go on anything except glass. Most people can do their cars in less than 15 minutes. The OCW should protect the 1000P for quite a while if the OCW is applied frequently enough.

OptiCoat & CQuartz Finest. IMO Maintenance is the BEST durability factor. If you want best looks, there are plenty of products out there to play with.

Longest lasting, well Modesta has ones that can last 10 years so they say.

I have GTechniq C1 on my own car had it for I think 4 years now and its acts like day one. Have Opti Coat v1 on my fathers car for 3 years and its acting like day one.

At one time I heard GTechniq was offering a 5 year warranty on C1, but I haven't looked into it.

A lot of how long they last depends on how you take care of it too.

:iagree:

Nu Finish last a year (52 swirl-a-matic car washes). Makes me wonder if it was properly cared for how long would it last

Even more FUN in having up to 1100 awhp utilizing a ProCharger F-1A Supercharger...
and no lag-time having to overcome, to boot.

But blow off Bob! :P 1100 is certainly not a stretch for turbos (high is possible). These engines are basically the perfect canvas!
