What are the longest lasting coatings available...

My GTR makes 1200whp. I get my kicks from that.

The jeep is an awesome DD and with an intake, exhaust, stat, and tune it's the closest i've ever come to keeping a vehicle stock....and it's staying that way :xyxthumbs:

Wonderful!! What kit?

Only AMS makes power like that in a DD package, haha.

AMS makes the turbo kit in my Subie as well. Quality stuff.

It seems like OC or CQ have the most followers here. If the car is properly prepped besides durability what gives it the wettest look? What other coating provide a good mix of durable and looks ( wetness)

Polish Angel Cosmic. In gloss meter test it was the glossiest followed by OCP, Modesta, CQF. 2 year durability on a DD

Have you used Polish Angel? If so can you shed a little more light on application etc?
Thanks

has anyone used polish angel it is a little high. I have a dd black audi I would be interested in putting it on

Polish Angel Cosmic is extremely glossy and easy to apply. You first polish with Invincible primer to prep the surface, then apply the coating. It applies similar to a paint sealant, wipe on, allow to dry, buff off. The titanium dioxide gives excellent clarity and silicone dioxide gives extreme durability. The coating is extremely slick and when Invincible primer is used, 9H scratch resistance is achieved (tested). The main point of this coating is maximum slickness and maximum gloss. This coating can be colour matched to the paint code of your vehicle for maximum colour intensity. I will post some after pictures later

if I read it right you can also put multiple coats of the polish angel on what are your guys thoughts on this.

Absolutely. Adding a second coat will exponentially increase the gloss. There is also no time limit to adding a second coat. It can be right after the first coat or 6 months after. Cosmic will adhere to itself no problem. You can also add master sealant, Viking shield or a carnauba creation paste wax on top of the coating.

heck how many coats of this stuff can you layer and would it do anything glosswise or protection wise or is 2 coats it

There is no finite number you can layer. Layering will greatly increase durability and gloss level.

so in theory you could put 4 coats of this stuff on I bet the shine would blind you wonder how scrarch resistant it would be.

Interesting how many people are against Opti-Coat. I have quite a few clients going on a few years now with Opti-coat 2.0 and many more with Pro now. If installed properly and cared for properly the coating really does last.

check this out if this is legit then there is no comparison

I have personally done that to my cars. It really is scratch resistant.

I'm sure there's a reason for CPro and other companies wanting to limit some of their products to professional installers - and I could whinge about this all day long. That's neither here nor there - I'm not a professional, so these products aren't something I'll be using (I do marketing for a living, so I *really* don't understand their logic).

This thread is useful to me, but I'll probably be sticking to wax (until the wax I bought runs out) and want to be more comfortable with swirl and etc removal before I put something on that I'll have to live with what's underneath for a year or so...
